Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
Just realized that Brian Finney (who played the trucker Laura gives head to in TMP) is the Silver Mustang guard who directs Coop to the cashier and phones. Probably just a random piece of double-dip casting because DKL liked an actor, but the relationship between his roles in Laura and Cooper's respective journeys is interesting.
That's one mystifying "returning cast member" out of the way. On to Matt Battaglia and Bellina Logan!

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
My thoughts/feelings on Parts 3 & 4, in list form:
Part 3:
Part 3:
- It was insane.
It was INSANE!
INSANE!!!!!
I was sat there thinking, "What the hell am I watching?"
Creative genius at work, though.
Loved the purple sea!
Call for help.
HELLOOOOOOO!!!!
Oh, and did I say, it was INSANE!!!!
- LOVED IT!
Something of a relief after Part 3.
Funny.
Daft.
Nostalgic.
Great to see the sheriff station scenes.
New sheriff is great.
Great to see Bobby.
Great to see so much of Gordon.
Intriguing plot developments.

It's interesting to wonder if that's why Booper (Dopple-Coop?) was so frantic and Bob-like at first - barely able to pass as human and smashing his head into the mirror. Maybe he was also newly born. Now we get to deal with the fully matured monster.
What always bugged me, though, is how in the world could the monster walk out of that hotel room after what he pulled off in the bathroom with sheriff Truman and doc Hayward being right outside the friggin' door, for God's sake! And it's not just his smashed and bloody forehead, which makes it pretty clear it couldn't have come from him just slipping on the floor, it was that mocking Annie-related question being repeated over and over and over, accompanied with bloodcurdling screaming laughter of a maniac...
Yeah. I can only assume that Booper fled right after and Truman and Hayward hid that he was possessed for some reason. Or at least hid it from certain characters. Because there's no way they wouldn't know otherwise.
LOL! Thanks! Stealing from a kid's show is a little embarrassing. But Gravity Falls owes an enormous debt to TP so I think it's fair... ;DAlso, "Booper"... I love that, man!
Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
wasn't this thing supposed to be 9 episodes in the beginning? Could you imagine the back lash that Frost & Lynch would have received if they did 9 episodes, with pretty much an episode and a half(at least) devoted to DougieCooper??
I think the original intent was to do 9 episodes, but with a much more emphasis on the main story

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
In The Missing pieces they show Coop lie down on the floor after smashing his head in the mirror. I'm sure Truman and Hayward just thought he was out of sorts and slipped and wouldn't have thought he was possessed.

Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
I guess that might be enough for him to get away from them. But the maniacal laughter? And obsessive questioning? Truman at least would have had to suspect. I think he had to have done some sort of vanishing act pretty quick for them not to have figured it out.LateReg wrote:In The Missing pieces they show Coop lie down on the floor after smashing his head in the mirror. She's featured in Cooper's mind when Jade says, "here's five dollars... Call for help."Mr. Reindeer wrote:Geeky OCD credits question! So, Sheryl has been credited in every Part despite only having new material in Part 2. Part 1 has the reused Episode 29 footage, Part 4 has the old homecoming photo featured prominently. As far as I can tell, she doesn't appear at all in Part 3, aside from her superimposed photo in the main title. Am I correct in this? I guess she'll just be credited every episode because her face is in the main title?
So far, Hawk has been the only character besides Coop to "truly" appear in all the Parts. I hope he maintains that record.
God, I love this music. Isn't it too dreamy?

Do they here though? When Cooper just went into a supernatural limbo to fight a demon that possesses people? I mean, Occam's Razor... I know I'd be thinking, "Gosh darn in it! Not him too Bob, you jackass!"yaxomoxay wrote:Before people suspect a demonic possession they usually think of ptsdTouchstone wrote:I guess that might be enough for him to get away from them. Re: Parts 3 + 4 (SPOILERS)
Having just rewatched Part 3, I have to say that I kinda like Chrysta Bell in the scene where she's explaining what happened in NY. The last scene is weird though, she is just there, somewhat nodding at what Albert is saying.

And what was that 'truckload of valium' supposed to imply?
Carrie Page: "It's a long way... In those days, I was too young to know any better."

I thought he simply meant they're going to need a lot to make it through this experience, or something along those lines.Soolsma wrote:And what was that 'truckload of valium' supposed to imply?
