What is the meaning of Buelas "truck drivers" sentence?

Will David Lynch handle the terrorist attack in Nice in a cinematic scene?

Nice is very close to Cannes wich is a place DKL likes very much

So it's really up in the air at this point as to what allowed Coop to leave the Lodge. Did Laura make some sacrifice that allowed him to leave?
Based upon Bad Coop saying that he's supposed to get pulled back into a place called the Black Lodge, I'm assuming that this was a set time. So, I don't think that's necessarily what Laura did that seemed to us to be a sacrifice, so it perhaps had more to do with what she whispered in his ear. Then again, maybe she did make a sacrifice for Cooper and Bad Coop knows about it because of some non-linear lodge time thing.

All I know is that Frost and Lynch used the old "I'll see you again in 25 years." thing to establish a reason for them to meet again.

Speaking of that, does anybody have that old screenshot of somebody on 4chan (I think) claiming to know that Lynch was meeting with execs (a good while before the return was announced)? They got the network wrong, but a lot of that post was spot on, including mentioning that Lynch wanted to include a recreation (or near-recreation) of the classic red room scene.
I don't have it but I remember that it said as the show began Coop was in jail for a murder and a reporter was investigating why he was in jail and the events that had happened in Twin Peaks 25 years earlier.

What do Daria and Ray give to the man in the wheel chair at Buella's house?

I've been thinking about this scene a bit, and I think it will be integral later in the story. We have so much happening in parts 3 to 5 that we are talking and thinking about, it is easy to forget Laura's "snatching" from the waiting room, apparently because she told Coop something she should not have. And we don't know exactly what that is, Jerry.

After this, a very, very sad Leland (played perfectly by Ray Wise) says "Find Laura."

So, not only is Coop "Non-exist-ent" and dropped in the water, Laura has also gone somewhere, probably not good. In FWWM, we saw her happy with the angels, apparently onto the white lodge. She comes back to the waiting room to help coop. The waiting room is not a safe area and someone from the black lodge did something with her.

Not exactly sure where all this is going, but I'm betting it will be weird as hell and probably in the final 1/4 of episodes.

I'm not exactly sure, but I know I've used it about a half dozen times in the last fortnight. :D

Sheryl Lee's makeup , mannerisms, facial expressions and even the way she walked into the room remind me a lot of the robot Maria. Was curious if anyone else made the connection. Maria was also two people in the film and TP has the whole doppleganger thing... I wonder if it was a homage to Metropolis.
I have seen it recently and I can see what you're saying. Also, it's a really good movie, I enjoyed it way more than I would have expected.
Yes, great film. The entire scene with Cooper and the woman with no eyes also reminds me of German expressionism. Also, the scene when they're out in space reminds me a bit of Le Voyage Dans la Lun by Méliès . I really enjoyed those scenes. Beautifully done.

I took it as her saying there likely wasn't anyone better she could put at her door to stop the likes of Cooper because the only people around are untrained or incompetent.

Just randomly thought of something , and I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before. It's impossible to read through all of these pages though baha

In the opening of part one , ?????? ( the giant ) says remember 430 .. and I've been noticing the number 7 show up a lot .. 4+3+0=7 ... any connection here ?

Also just curious , what is everyone's theory surrounding the number 7 ? I have to admit I'm not the best at interpreting numbers and what their potential meanings are so I'm just curious to see what everyone else is thinking ...

Happy twin peaks Sunday !

Well, 7 is typically viewed as a "lucky" number (it's both lucky and unlucky in the casino game craps). I believe DKL said in the Slice of Lynch feature that he personally views 7 as a very lucky number.

Wow! I've finally got round to watching this (I've been away on holiday so didn't want a big interruption). I thought episodes 1 and 2 were amazing, totally amazing television. I was gripped from start to finish. I'm as much a Lynch fan as I am a TP fan so for me it was perfect - the Lodge, the glass box, the apartment key, Bad Cooper, the new Arm, Hawk and Log Lady, the South Dakota murder. I lapped it all up!

I've been looking through some of the early comments on here. It's sad that some people are disappointed. Everyone's got their own reasons and had their own expectations.

One thing did make me laugh though - somebody criticised the acting in the new show, and then said underneath without any hint of irony that it needed more Andy and Lucy. Haha.

Anyway, cant wait to catch up with the new few shows!!!

At the end of Part 2 in the bar, Shelley's friend is called Renee (as in Renee like in Lost Highway) and then Balthazar Getty (as in Lost Highway) makes an appearance. Is it just coincidence?

Rewatched Episode 2 of the original series. Something I never noticed before:

The chair Cooper is sitting in in the red room has a leaf pattern. It is very like the one we see him in at the beginning of the new series, if not identical. This can't be a coincidence. And I wonder what this means. Also, I think this is the only time we saw this chair in the original series - in all subsequent red room scenes, Cooper is sitting in a plain chair, isn't he? Interesting. Not sure if this has already been mentioned.
I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.

Hmmm. Someone has mentioned the leaf pattern somewhere among the great many posts we've had since the debut of The Return. I can't recall if this included a mention of the pattern on the episode 2 chair, but I think I remember it being mentioned that there is a leafy pattern on the Tremond's couch in the above-the-convenience-store scene.

I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but there's also that scene of Briggs on the stone throne in the forest, which is surrounded by and covered with vines and leaves.

Here it is - from Episode 2. I grabbed this from google. There's probably better quality images available. I don't think this chair was this pattern again until the opening of the new series, but will have to check Episodes 16 and 29 and the end of FWWM. I don't even think its this pattern again in the actual red room with the new Cooper and Laura scene in the new series.
