Oh, that's not how I read that scene at all. The chemistry between Ben and Beverly was palpable, and I would be shocked if it wasn't somehow consummated in a future episode. Ben's trying to hold himself back, but I don't think he'll succeed.FlyingSquirrel wrote:Seems like maybe Ben really has stopped being a sleaze?BEARisonFord wrote:Really dug this episode, although some of the dialogue was clunky (didn't really need to know if Doc Hayward knew what "Skype" was). loved seeing Ben & Jerry. Hoping some of the people so overly distraught over their initial appearances are eating some crow now, considering it's clear we'll be seeing more of them (or at least Ben). Loved seeing more with Ashley Judd's character.

I meant about the dog :>asquideatingdough wrote:The first scene of Season 1, episode 1 was Josie in the mirror, yes. Can't remember the humming.RainingPostToasties wrote:Was it? I had company jabbering, so I might have missed that!djsunyc wrote:

and wasn't the first scene of the show, josie looking in a mirror humming?
I loved Gordon's whistling. Was he whistling something from the Wizard of Oz? Sounded strangely familiar.

The wooden lever that raises it-hilarious. I laughed out loud on that one.micpoc wrote:You mean ridiculously amazing, right? The Brown Lodge wrote:monitor rising up out of the desk was ridiculous

It's somebody who's dead. The warden must have been involved in some shenanigans, and someone's dead because of it, and if this info got out the warden could get in major trouble.RainingPostToasties wrote:Can't wait to see what this Mr. Strawberry deal is - my original guess was that it was a lodge spirit who tormented the warden, but it may be something more earthly about his past. Maybe the warden had some, ah, alternative lifestyle he wanted to stay hidden..
Remember, about Mr. Strawberry, Bad Coop says something along the lines of "Oh, that's right, Mr. Strawberry's not taking calls, is he?" Pretty clear it's a dead man, imo.

That was The Arm.ThumbsUp wrote:Was that the Arm or the Arm's doppelganger in the Ike the Spike scene?
The Arm's Doppelganger has a yellowish brain attached to the tree.
The Arm is helping Good Cooper, which makes about as much sense as Gerard, which has always seemed to be the other side of The Arm, helping Cooper.
They must want Bob back from DoppelCoop, that theory is the only thing that makes sense.
I'm more convinced than ever that blacked woodsman is covered in burnt oil, and is meant to remind the viewer of Lynch's other works of the Woodsman from the Above the Convience store scene, as much as the man behind Winkies.
The scene with Cooper pummeling Ike was epic, and the news interviews were surreal as fuck.

Yeah, I actually loved that. I thought it totally fit with the quirky vibe the TP sheriff's station is known for.micpoc wrote:You mean ridiculously amazing, right? The Brown Lodge wrote:monitor rising up out of the desk was ridiculous

My best interpretation:
There I was with a plastic
pumpkin full of money
and the clothes that Nancy(?)
brought. She's (unclear verb)
my ear (car?) with all sorts of
non-sense. I can't make
out what she's trying
to say but I take it all
in as best I can.
I sure didn't need a
mask today. Some
Halloween!
She's bending my ear with all sorts of nonsense

I think the dog leg from a previous episode was mentioned. And also, the cow jumped over the moon poem references a dog.

Wasn't Nancy Blackie's sister? Could be a different Nancy; double/triple names mean nothing in this show as we know.guildnavigator wrote:okjose wrote:Was curious about the middle page from the missing pages of Laura's secret diary that Hawk and Truman didn't read aloud. Here's a screenshot.

I think it was part of Ike the Spike's trigger finger! Coop really did seem to squeeze off part of his finger, just like the Arm suggested....Audrey Horne wrote:What was the skin the police placed in the ziplock? Was it part of the Arm/Brain Tree?!

If they didn't read the page out on the show, I think it is safe to say you aren't meant to know what it says

Eh, maybe, but I'm pretty damn sure it's Josie. At the end of the scene we even go right into the wood. Remember Ben seeing or sensing Josie in his fireplace in that office (and of course Pete seeing her in the fireplace in the common room of the Great Northern).FlyingSquirrel wrote:I'm actually not sure it's Josie. Remember how people were having their hands start shaking towards the end of Season 2? I assumed that had something to do with the Lodge door being open. If this is in fact set "25 years later" (i.e., 2015 rather than 2017), then maybe the door is opening again and we might see a variety of "paranormal" phenomena as a result. So the hum in the Great Northern could be an example of that.Jerry Horne wrote:Josie seems restless
If paranormal activity is waxing, as you suggest (I concur), then an increase in the presence of Josie could be a natural part of that.
