This painting in Dougie's office is just like one in the conference room in the later seasons of Mad Men.

Hokey smokes! Did this harken back to Episode 7 of Season One or what? So much happening in one episode, it's hard to know where to begin...

Much better than last week. Does anyone else feel like this story is not going to conclude in eleven episodes? It's got so much reach at this point.

I coulda sworn Audrey was gonna be in this episode.
Also coulda sworn that the sweeper at the Roadhouse was gonna sweep for the last 8 minutes.
Major Briggs time travels? Or time traveled, I guess.

I guess we can discount a couple of theories now:Jerry Horne wrote:One of my favorite episodes ever.
-Rancho Rosa is not a constructed, alternate reality
-Annie has not be retconned out of the story.

Yes, a great episode. So many wonderful name checks: Harold Smith, Annie Blackburne, Audrey Horne, the Renault family (they've owned the Roadhouse all this time?).
Loved seeing more of the Great Northern. Is that Josie in the walls?
Can I get some credit? I think I'm the only one that suggested that Leland had put the diary pages in the stall door.
So Andy's meeting was supposed to be at 430? Is that right?

Great episode.
Also, great seeing Hayward.
Also, did Doppelcoop go around sexually assaulting all the women he knew? Kind of seems like it, given the ominous remarks about Audrey.
Great forward momentum in the episode.
Scene with Renault felt like Lynch fucking with us, or cutting to meet a runtime haha.
More Dougie still, but the attack was great! At this point not gonna guess if when he becomes Coop again (I thought he might be drawing the owl cave map this time but who knows).
Great scene with Ben Horne.. felt very much like Josie haunting the place.
I think I'm officially crossing Ontkean off the list. If there was gonna be a one scene cameo, it would've been him being asked about Coop. At least Harry isn't forgotten, but it feels very awkward with the one sided phone calls.

Yes, and it looks like Bad Cooper may have entered her room when she was intensive care.djsunyc wrote:did i hear doc hayward right and that audrey was in a coma from the bank explosion?

They mentioned Audrey and coma. It's only a matter of time now.
The Evil Arm seems to have been trying to influence Good Coop to hurt Ike the Spike. That was very unexpected.
And I also believe that we HEARD JOSIE this episode. The hum is Josie!

Basically, all of Cooper's instincts are still intact. On a primal level, he IS Cooper. He is just missing his memories.Rudagger wrote:Great episode.
