Maybe not even an error per se; they filmed the series like one long episode with no tangible breaks. They needed to end the episode there, so threw in some B-roll to extend the scene and let the credits roll over.

Of course it's Twin Peaks, so there will be furious speculations about rips in the fabric of time and space :P Of course it's also David Lynch, so I could end up with egg on my face, but I'm thinking it was simply done to have a continual and ambient credit sequence.

Or they were messing around in the editing to get a continual credit sequence, he saw this and went "Oh, that'll add to the atmosphere of unearthly things happening in Twin Peaks. Go with it." Another happy accident.

I'll buy either of those explanations. :)

I don't think it's necessary at all for there to be a manufactured version of Laura in the world for her to return.

Dougie was manufactured with the explicit purpose of keeping Bad Coop out of the Lodge when the real Cool returned in his own body. Cooper didn't physically trade bodies with Dougie; he traded spaces with him.

So Laura could return through one of the portals without need to trade space with anyone -- unless her doppleganger is out in the world. Then and only then would Laura need to trade spaces with it, her doppleganger.

This whole Dougie thing is because Laura will come back without memories and age and Cooper will have to make the decision of whether or not to let her lead A life of harmony but ignorance. As opposed to a life of truth in pain. Laura will start to notice certain things, and the series will end with Cooper taking her back to her original home. Laura will be determined to know the truth even if it horrifies her.

Monday Morning Random Idea/ Thought:

The thing lynch was working on semi-secretly to do with a certain character was the design of Linda's electric wheelchair.

- it has been hinted at in Part 6.
- Part 9 is titled "this is the chair"
- it is specifically referred to as "electric" and we all know what that means in Twin Peaks.

i just have this feeling that the chair is gonna be more than just a chair ..

but really, i have no idea what's so big about part 8 like the rest of us but i will be looking at the clock all day today.. please 5:30 come quickly!

This is exactly what I think as well.

Don't know what happened to my post so will try again:

I'm hoping this episode tonight will help clear up the whole how Dougie was manufactured (or living in Vegas for that manner) as just too much is left open to even begin to discuss how laura may or may not come back if that's not cleared up. I also hope the whole diary scenario is fixed as well. Too much to speculate upon until then.

Woah, if Skye is Linda... Then I would say it was twins for Audrey and Satan Coop.

Same ... I honestly just don't like it as a story device .. it almost feels kind of lazy to me. I'm choosing to believe he really was just in the hospital to get the owl cave ring .. until they prove me wrong that's my theory

A friend of mine just tweeted "Gordon calling Diane a 'tough cookie' was sexist and condescending, like this whole S3 so far".

I don't get it. I always thought 'tough cookie' meant she's 'tough to handle', has a 'strong personality', things like that. Am I missing something?
