Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
Here's my very intuitive take:
DoppelCoop is not dead.
The Black Lodge Hobos kept him from dying.
Bob is far more powerful than we knew.
"It is in our house now." Makes more sense,
In other words, when we first detonated the atomic bomb, it opened the gateway between the two worlds, ours and theirs. We saw "the mother" vomiting out the black lodge shit, In the middle of the detonation.
The convenience store is a faux set piece at the blast sight, we actually just saw the ORIGINAL MEETING.
Laura is integral.
The woman in the Purple Zone is the caretaker of Earth along side the Giant, Earth is "Our House".
The Giant saw the event and came up with a solution,
However, Laura's soul is different, it was sent to help, like a Bodhisattava in Tibetan Buddhism, which would mean free of the wheel of Dharma and not shackled by Samsara.
I think we'll see Laura again in some new way, as others here have suggested.
KPJK was how the children of the mother of the Black Lodge initially spread, they feed on the light within humans, hence:
"Gotta light?"

I've got a big bottle of Jack and a bag of sour Gummi Worms. Just gonna lay back and enjoy the arguments....
I loved it btw. Except for the NIN video.

Good to know. Not me. This is fantastic. This is beautiful and terrifying and fun and riveting. This is Twin Peaks.Endangered_Wulf wrote:I wish Lynch and Frost would just stick to some ''good-old-fashioned-cohesive-season-one-original-formula-storytelling"

I find it very interesting that Bad Coop was shot in the stomach. It recalls what happened to him in Room 315.
Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
So the thingy who barfed up Bob was the "experiment" from NYC, right? Same credit...
Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
It seems to me that Laura has been reborn in 1956.

I can't tell if the flying bug was Laura or BOB. But if it was Laura then yeah... the girl might be Sara Palmer.madeleineferguson wrote:Lynch just changed television, again. Amazing.
I do think the girl in New Mexico who, uh, just had a flying bug frog thing crawl into her mouth was... Sarah Palmer.
I kind of think the flying bug was BOB though. It seemed like the oily woodsmen characters were helping it to find a host. I think.

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
Nine Inch Nails makes perfect sense. Many years ago they covered a Joy Division song called 'Lost Souls' for THE CROW movie soundtrack. The film was about the resurrection of a rock star. Also the 'LOST HIGHWAY' vibe to Episode 8 corresponds to Nine Inch Nails involvement in the 'LOST HIGHWAY' soundtrack.garethw wrote:Odd, I thought the NIN was the most obvious filler, but I do agree there was quite a bit more.Endangered_Wulf wrote:Episode 8 was ALL FILLER (except for the awesome Nine Inch Nails scene and the dead souls bringing Evil Cooper back to life)

The "Gotta Light?" guy is called "The Woodsman" in the end credits?

Poo did fly.
Re: RE: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
What a show. The funny thing is I despised Part 6 and had many problems with the show up until now but I LOVED this part. What a ride. I was riveted.
BTW, the CC referred to the gotta light guy as The Woodsman

Re: Part 8 - Gotta light? (SPOILERS)
When the bomb was dropped, that was the moment that the earth's innocence was lost. That invited in the "evil that men do" i.e. Bob, the woodsmen ?
Perhaps what we saw was the white lodge (heaven?) and they send down an angel, i.e. Laura palmer, in an attempt to put right the evil.
