That's really the thing. It could go two ways: either Coop could wake up and play a role and bringing down DoppelCoop and sending him back to the lodge. OR: DoppelCoop might have to die, or otherwise get dealt with, before Dougie wakes up. If DoppelCoop still has to die for Coop to wake up, then we might actually be waiting until the very end of the series to see Coop again. If at all.

Bad Coop wants Dougie Coop dead. And has so far eluded all the attempts on his life. I think Dale Cooper will wake up episode 13. When the Lodges open again. I wonder if there is a race aspect to the game being played here. And Bad Coop needs Dougie Coop to die before the clock strikes high noon, or there'll be big trouble.

I occasionally try to think about where the story might be headed, but at no point in the first 11 parts would I have seen what was coming next. So it's really open to me. I do think that there will be some lodge craziness (probably involving Hawk) when they go to Jack Rabbit's palace, but unless that also involves EvilCoop, I can't see Dougie waking up. Even if he did wake up and go to Twin Peaks, I suspect that at least one of the TP team (probably Hawk) will have entered the lodge/whatever it is nowadays. Maybe he has to go back in to find him and/or Laura and/or fight the Doppelganger since:

I'm definitely glad that they didn't go down the route of "Cooper emerges but gets confused with EvilCoop" route. I didn't want to see an elaborate farce emerge like a dark episode of Frasier.

I haven't seen anyone else mention Shelly's red shoes. So maybe the previous instance of red high heels that DougieCoop saw weren't supposed to be a reference to Audrey. Maybe Lynch just likes putting women in red high heels? Those shoes couldn't be very practical for a shift at the Double R. Maybe Shelly was wearing them if Red came by. Also, it looks like Shelly left behind one of her shoes when she went with Carl.

Is that the same vehicle that Carl took into town last time?

It would have been better if it had been Annie with Steven.

Did anyone else think that the sick girl in the car was Drugged-Out-Mom at first? I did for a second.

They should have just had James' role this season being the guy who sweeps the floor at the roadhouse. At least, he would have gotten more screen time that way.

I got really excited that Gordon would get in the lodge and some crazy episode 3/8-like stuff will happen. How cool would that be!
Not sure why Gordon & Albert were armed with pistols. They seem to more or less know what will happen when they approach the portal. Do they think they can cause damage to Lodge beings with guns?
And why woodsman killed Hastings now when he already told everything he knew? Why not in prison in episode 1?
