Norma and Walter talking about Twin Peaks' influence on television was rich.

Confess!
Confess may be my favorite gag of the season so far. Sizemore is brilliant.

Wasn't it the story of the little girl who lived down the lane?

Kinda made me think of IE.

Yes, but here sudden burst of emotion seemed more than a "is he singing this for me?" moment, and more of a "wow, that man has been through hell" moment.

Additional thoughts: Did Shelly stick around until Becky arrived for her pie, or did she run off with Red before she got there? I feel the latter is more likely.

Did Richard's arrival to the farm add a little credibility to the theory that Mr. C is his father? Felt like that was the general vibe from his expressions watching events unfold.

I've been watching the time of day closely for the last several episodes and thought that it was for sure September 30th, but when Bobby told Ed and Norma that he found some things from his Dad "today" I am led to believe it is still the night of the 29th, which is both odd and a tad bit frustrating as I can not wait for October 1st to roll around, specifically 2:53 (I'm sure I'm not the only one).

Duncan Todd is mixed up in damn near everything it seems.

Even though Dopplecoop is the primary "bad guy" of the season, it's hard to realize that his enemies are by extension heroes, no matter how damaged or reluctant. Ray is technically on the side of goodness here (well, he was, that is). Somehow this episode made me ponder that.

Poor, poor Eddie. His heart just can't seem to catch a break.

An incredible scene.

I also loved Sonny Jim's Gym Set.
Spotlight made me think Bob was coming...

Richard and Daddy C. reunited and it ...feels so good?

Poor Dwayne editing this massive tale... Night in some scenes, day in another in the same time zone. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Tim Roth traveling at night while Dougie goes to work. I don't think any of it matters.

Sarah in a loop, Norma doing paperwork, Shelly tell your daughter to get her shit together. Audrey and Charlie flip their last episode wants. (She's still in a coma, guys.)

Well, now we know why Norma is always doing paperwork...

I might have misheard it because I don't have captions on, but if it is indeed lane instead of lake, I definitely see the Inland Empire vibes there too

IIRC, Mulholland Dr -- on some level, about an amnesiac -- was originally conceived as a TP spin-off, with Sherilynn Fenn in the lead role.

And now here we are.

I'm more of the still-in-a-coma persuasion, but it's an interesting parallel.
Charlie: "Do you want me to end your story, too?"

Has the Cowboy arrived to Twin Peaks?

There will be some unpacking to do here, for sure. But it was also nice to just enjoy some laughs.

Ghostwood was the reason Audrey tied herself to the bank. Either Ben made it happen and it is big, or it is the last big event in her life before she went off the rails.

Wonder what the music sped up at the beginning was? Anyone know?

To the re-watching stations!

EDIT: I don't watch with subtitles, either, but I do listen through headphones, and highly recommend it, not just to hear dialog, but to immerse yourself in the sounds design. It's really something. The Giant was right about listening to the sounds.

The Audrey and Charlie scene blew my mind, but the James-singing-Just-You scene really blew my mind. I wish I had a picture of the look on my face. I think it was shock, horror, and extreme amusement all at once.

P.S. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens to the poll about Audrey's situation. Votes are editable and I've extended the run time by another week.

It's from the nursery rhyme, "Baa Baa Black Sheep."

Naomi Watts' reaction to getting the gifts was so beautiful and perfect. What a ridiculously entertaining episode! Existentialism 101.

What if, in classic Lynch fashion,
Spoiler:
Audrey is telling this story? And why?
