I thought it was incredible and expected. This wasn't going to be a clean ending. Lynch/Frost getting their way after not getting their way with the killer reveal in the beginning.

So in the end, Mrs. Chalfont/Tremond had the last laugh - controlled everything - and thrust our beloved Agent Cooper into the heart of the pure darkness of evil that is JUDY...

And perhaps we ended with Cooper in the past - before the Palmers bought the house... and Mrs. Chalking was setting everything in motion - which is what Cooper began to realize asking "Wait - what year is this?"

It was BEFORE.
"Is it future or is it past?"

I'm satisfied with that.

The mystery continues. This is the way it should be.

I'm speechless and it's going to take me a while to unpack that.

Gotta hand it to Lynch, he intentionally leaked the end of the whole thing and still made it completely unexpected and confounding.

I agree, and I would be applauding if it all weren't so unemotional, clinical, and dead. If it doesn't evoke any emotion, who gives a fuck?

Im assuming that we can agree that "that" piercing scream at the end brings Laura "back" as it were.
Has to be a season 4. No resolution to Audrey. Are we satisfied with the conclusion of the lodges? Episode 17 seemed to start to round everything off but 18 went a bit nuts. Just felt like Coop driving everywhere. We didn't really get much of Coop either in the last two episodes. I'm feeling a little meh but hopefull it's resolved in another season or a film.

All I can say right now is What. the Fuck...

I was expecting a cliffhanger, no real resolution... but this was far beyond that. It felt like the entire story just stopped mid sentence.

As I was marathoning today, it suddenly hit me we were being set up for a totally abstract final two hours. There were hints along the way, beginning in Part 2 with 'is it future, or is it past'?

So cool how they used the old footage and connected it with new footage in the return.....Laura screaming when she saw Coop in the bushes so amazing how they made that scene mean so much more....Was that Laura Palmer(the one on James motorcycle) not the real Laura?

What I got from it was he took her to the future. And the Palmers owned the house so long ago the new owners didn't even remember them. Or they never existed because they erased her murder and somehow just erased all of the Palmer family existence.

And as far as the old footage (I felt my heart leap out of my chest while watching!!) I think it was Laura but she was fighting BOB back and forth internally.

Well at least we found out who Judy was.

So how's Annie?

The Dreamer who lives inside the dream makes some sense now. Guess Cooper has yet to wake up after all.
