A thing of as-of-yet-undisclosed entity, but a thing nonetheless! (screencap from here)

While I was trying to divine whether 'Comic Con' might mean not just San Diego Comic Con but also its affiliated conventions, I ended up googling BEA too and... it's this week? The website says Flatiron is attending, but I couldn't find out more...

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but it is interesting that neither the book nor be audiobook appear to be available digitally. I would think digital formats, such as Kindle and Audible, would be up for pre-sale now if they were going to be available. Some authors prefer not to sell digital books for artistic reasons, which may be the case here. But I would think a digital audio copy vs. a hard-copy CD for an audiobook would not present that same sort of artistic decision. (Since the audiobook itself is already an abstraction from the piece of art's original, paper format.) *shrug*

My guess would be that digital versions will come later. As they are producing physical versions they probably want to push sales in that direction and they know the die-hard fanbase will buy the physical.

Exactly! a book I am planning to add to my collection. esp. hardcover. I love collecting just books forget the digital type, sorry I am old school but, if you are a truly hard fan that is the way you do it. I.M.O. anyway, to each it's own. anyway, ya never know when some special showing of your fave director, artist and you have a special collectors item that they might sign which would be truly special if it were to happen, Just sayin.

You kinda don't need to pre-order a digital copy. That's on-demand. It'll go up, and even if it doesn't go up in advance, you'll still be able to get it instantly on the publication date. Don't worry about it.

But if you want to ensure you have a copy on launch day, you need to know it will, in fact, be on sale digitally or make the choice to buy the hard copy :) I have already pre-ordered my hard copy, which I will keep "wrapped in plastic" on the shelf except for when I have chances to get it autographed. I just want to make sure I've got a digital copy of the book and/or audiobook to read when it comes out. But I've got a few months to wait for them to put up that preorder link!
