Mark's reading and signing will be at 12:30, Sunday, November 7 in the Omni Hotel Ballroom.

Hope to see some of you in Austin!
November 6th, NOT the 7th.
Was just jumping back on to make that correction! Sorry!

Amazon is really something.........:
A couple of weeks ago I ordered The Secret History of TP, Laura Palmer's diary (lost it years ago) and Wrapped in Plastic.
Amazon responded it would be 18-32 days to arrive at my place.
Yesterday I got a mail saying delivery was delayed 2 days - from 9th to 11th november!! - earliest, so today I ordered The Secret History of TP on CDON.com instead (delivery 3-8 days).
THEN, I thought, better cancel my order of that one book on Amazon, but I got a quick reply it was too late because my order was placed 2 weeks ago....
I tried to cancel again, this time due to another reason. A few hours later I received an e-mail saying all books were just shipped - expected arrivel mid-late november!!!!
I'm not used to order online - maybe you would expect this.
Not angry - just disappointed......

Wasn't sure if this has been posted already, but GQ did a really good new interview with Frost about the novel: http://www.gq.com/story/25-years-later- ... twin-peaks

I was prematurely skeptical about how the audio would work, but I'm absolutely loving it. It works really, really well, especially with the different voices all involved. Makes my long commute a joy. :D

Spanish edition is amazing. I started to read last night and I (happily) agree with the Danielewski comparisons.

I am surprised, however, of not seeing any tweet of David Lynch promoting the book, which is a way, after all, of promoting the show. He recently recommended the Sherilyn's children's book (something she's paid with her usual kindness) and obsessively keeps us informed of every step of Chrysta Bell, but hasn't said anything about Mark's book.

Honestly, do you think he have even read it?

Like I said before, I really doubt it.

And this is pure speculation, but knowing Lynch's work and approach, I'm not sure if he'd be a fan of that much exposition and history surrounding Twin Peaks. He really loves the mystery of that place.

Most likely he didn't and has no interest. This is what Mark Frost had to say during his interview with Brad Dukes
[the book is] Strictly my vision, he was not involved at all. He was making the show, he was consumed and I said look I want to do this and he said great, it should be your vision and obviously your name on the book so go for it.
