I am surprised, however, of not seeing any tweet of David Lynch promoting the book, which is a way, after all, of promoting the show. He recently recommended the Sherilyn's children's book (something she's paid with her usual kindness) and obsessively keeps us informed of every step of Chrysta Bell, but hasn't said anything about Mark's book.

Honestly, do you think he have even read it?
Most likely he didn't and has no interest. This is what Mark Frost had to say during his interview with Brad Dukes
[the book is] Strictly my vision, he was not involved at all. He was making the show, he was consumed and I said look I want to do this and he said great, it should be your vision and obviously your name on the book so go for it.
God, that's a strange "collaboration" if ever there was one ... Since the two of them reportedly secretly planned (and worked on) this whole shebang for 2-3 years together, you'd think they'd be privy to each other's thoughts and ideas about the show and the development of the deeper mythology, background etc., if only just so they could come up with some kind of unified vision (that would also adher to what went on before, in the first couple of season + the movie) - but things point to that not being the case. Makes me wonder about the next season, though: if Frost also wasn't as involved in Lynch's directing work as Lynch wasn't in Frost's writing, then maybe we'll get Lynch's version of the "canon" (whaterver that is by this point) as well, so we'll eventualy end up with roughly three versions: 1) the one of S 1, S 2 and FWWM, 2) Frost's current one, 3) Lynch's current one. Yeeeeehaaaw!

I would assume that Mark filled David in, but it's just not the sort of thing David had an interest in being part of.

And, please correct me if I'm mis-remembering, but I believe they wrote the actual show together and Mark was on set to help keep things on a story track while still allowing Lynch to be Lynch. I'll see if I can find where I read that.

At this point being surprised Lynch doesn't get wholly embedded in the minutiae of deep lore and continuity is like walking into a casino and being shocked gambling is going on in the establishment. He seems to have had the same hands-off approach to the tie-ins and similar material in 1990-91.

Hey, if you say so. Btw, remind me, what was it exactly that Cooper did at the very end of the series? Did he go walk his dog or did he propose to Annie (or was it Audrey?)? I can't seem to remember such details (not that it matters) ...

Didn't you mean to ask me if I took my pills? That would somehow be more appropriate regarding the nice little tone of our "fan conversation".

You just seem very upset by the suggestion that David lynch isn't particularly interested in twin peaks tie-in books, which seems like a fairly mild assertion to me. I know I can get a little cranky when I'm tired.

The Waterstones Event in London at Tottenham court Road branch is now live https://www.waterstones.com/events/an-e ... court-road

I went in person to the store to book, only 10 in-store places which were full and 70 places to book online.

My order has finally been dispatched and the book will arrive next week. :)

Any one knows what happening with the release of the audio book in the UK? No one seems to have it and Amazon UK says they are out of stock despite having pre-ordered it months ago...
The next time you see me it won't be me...
