That was awesome. Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that I just read a new bit of Twin Peaks canon.

I wonder if James Morrison, Amy Shiels, or Robert Knepper is the archivist???

This is magic. I love it.

Don't take the ring.

Perhaps 1991 has some kind of significance. If Chet Desmond disappeared and reappeared two years later, maybe the Good Cooper reappeared in 1991 after two years.

Hmmm... I haven't seen the rest of the book, but I have talked to someone who has- and they confirmed that the book does NOT retcon the original series date to 1991. That is does indeed (thankfully) remain 1989. So I would guess this reference to 1991 is a different incident(?)
Phew, that's good to know! I am one of those people that's really pendantic about the dates (for instance, why the the date on Cole's memo is 2016 instead of 2014) but with this in my mind, I'm somewhat optimistic. I guess then the reference to 1991 is something that happens between season 2 and 3 that we don't know yet.

Fascinating for those who've read the leaked pages: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meriwether_Lewis#Death

The archivist is a she, let slip by Mark Frost in this video.

Thanks for that clip. I know it's been mentioned that Naomi Watts has the second biggest role in the new series so I wonder if she is the archivist or the Agent know as TP.

Cool to see that this is a book within a book. (Or should I say a green book within a green book.) Also great to see Frost fold some real life historical characters (like he did with The List of Seven and The Six Messiahs) into the mix. So many layers are starting to unfold. Very exciting!

At first I thought Lewis and Clark are fictional characters and then I Googled them.

Good call. Heather Graham is not in the new series, so...one can't presume the answer to "How's Annie?" is a particularly good one...

The archivist is a she, let slip by Mark Frost in this video.

I think he actually lets slip in this video that the archivist is a he. He says that "he" jots down what she says in the eulogy, she being Margaret.
