So i have Amazon Prime. Will I be able to watch episodes 1 and 2 live at 9/8c?
If not, will they be uploaded to the Amazon Showtime thing shortly thereafter? Like, within half an hour?

Is there such a thing as a vegan cherry pie?
My date for the show tonight is a vegan.

Alright, PM me the stuff. I have no resolve.

The closer we get, the more I become the warm little center that all the life of this world crowds around. Seriously, I've never been so zen when it comes to me and my anticipation for S3.

I've been distracting myself with smoked fish for lunch & donuts + coffee now. The fish smell on my fingers plus the coffee is definitely reminding me of a certain scene.
Well, since here the show will air on a pay tv channel, a channel I don't subscribe to, I'll have to wait a very very long time to watch the new season. So I honestly don't know if I will be able to hold myself back. I'll try but frankly deep down I know it's an already lost fight.

Yes!! You can use all shortening or vegan butter in lieu of regular butter for the crust. Any canned pie filling should be vegan (just make sure it doesn't have gelatin),you can also make your own with corn starch and fresh or frozen cherries.Wonderful & Strange wrote:Is there such a thing as a vegan cherry pie?

Of course, just replace the butter that's normally in the dough with something else e.g. coconut or canola oil.Wonderful & Strange wrote:Is there such a thing as a vegan cherry pie?

Edit: Or vegan butter indeed. Some extra low fat margarine's are made with solely sunflower oil.

Coconut oil doesn't work very well, its melting temp is too low. Results in a very crispy but not flaky pie crust.Soolsma wrote:Of course, just replace the butter that's normally in the dough with something else e.g. coconut or canola oil.Wonderful & Strange wrote:Is there such a thing as a vegan cherry pie?

Ok folks I have stuff to do, whilst I have FWWM playing in the background. So if I can resist, I'll be off here until I've watched the episodes -which for me will be tomorrow.
What I want to do is wish each and every one of you the best experience possible worshipping at the church of Twin Peaks. I hope it is everything and more than you imagined. Enjoy it with all of your hearts and I'll see you on the other side

I'm doing a Blue Velvet/FWWM lead-in so basically as soon as I start BV it's like the beginning. Cuts down on 4 hours of waiting!

But there were several commercials with footage before the Pilot aired. And the basic storyline (dead girl turns up, murder investigation follows) was publicized, as were key scenes/moments from the Pilot. We literally know nothing about the new show's premise, and whatever footage we've been given has been unapologetically devoid of context.Rain wrote:No plot, no trailer, no spoiler

This is so damn exciting. As Audrey said, anything is possible!

Your advice is welcome and wonderful, but I can't cook anything well but meat. So I'm hoping to find a vegan pie somewhere out there in the world today.
That's actually what I was asking, I suppose. Can I find a ready made pie somewhere? I guess I should call Trader Joes or Whole Foods...

If you subscribe to Showtime through Amazon, you can activate the "Showtime Anytime" site or app with your Amazon information! That'll give you Live TV and episodes 3 & 4 tonight. When activating Showtime Anytime, just choose "Amazon" as your cable provider and sign in.Wonderful & Strange wrote:I've chatted with Amazon and Showtime people and none of them know for sure when the episodes will be available for non-live upload. The Showtime folks said Amazon can have them available right when the show airs, and the Amazon people say it's up to Showtime. So none of them have much of a clue about when the episodes will be available. The most likely scenario is that the episodes will be available 24hrs after they first air on Showtime, but earlier is possible.ryanmj1993 wrote:So does anybody know how this is gonna work with Amazon prime. Do we know if the episodes are gonna go up as they air or after they air? I heard that episodes 3&4 won't be available on prime.
Amazon Prime-Showtime offer a live stream I've been watching the last two days that works wonderfully, for me at least.
I think the only way to get parts 3 and 4 is to subscribe to Showtime directly so you can have their on demand service. This was only an extra 10 bucks for me via Xfinity, so I subscribed for that as well, just for parts 3 and 4.
After I see how it all plays tonight and what works or doesn't work, then I'll know which subscriptions to keep going forward.
