Newly released Twin Peaks video game! Deadly Premonition

On the anniversary of Laura's death, an Xbox 360 (and PS3 in Japan) game was released. It was talked about back here in 2007, and then it was known as Rainy Woods. Well it's 3 years later, and the game is now called Deadly Premonition. AND it's only $20.

They used the three years to actually removed a bit of the TP references, but really, it's SOOO Twin Peaks. You've got a coffee-loving FBI agent, a dead beautiful blond, a faceless "sidekick" called Zach (sort of like Diane), a police department in a American West town... there's even a crazy Pot lady (she carried a kettle around sort of like the Log Lady).

I only have a PS3, so I'm going to see if I can get a copy of the Japanese version (that's supposed to be in English) to play.

This looks even more Twin Peaks than the upcoming Alan Wake.

I'm totally excited about it... and how coincidental that it was released on the anniversary of Laura's death.

OMG, I can't believe they pulled so many TP references and were able to not be sued. Sigh, I thought I was so hip with my PS3....right up until the Twin Peaks inspired game rolls around.

The male twins in the chairs were a bit creepy, though, with their movements. They bobbed their heads like they were.......er........ah.......'getting a present.'

Now all they need is for Mark Frost to write the movie adaptation and David Lynch to direct it!!

Yes, this game looks terribly funny, watch some videos of it on Youtube, it's hilarious, sooo quirky!

The bad news is that it hasn't got a PAL version confirmed yet. Rumors say that Rising Star Games is planning to bring it to Europe, but it isn't confirmed yet!
