FWWM altered minorly after initial US theatrical release?

Post by jlyon1515 »

I read this on IMDB today, and had never heard of it. I know anyone can just submit to IMDB, so wanted to verify that it was true.

"In the original US theatrical release, the scene where Agent Desmond disappears concludes by fading to white. The director altered the video release so it fades to black."

That rumor has been around since it's release and I believe may have stated on alt.tv.twin-peaks.

It has never been verified.

Having just seen a film print, I can say it faded to black when Chet touched the ring.

Agreed. I have definitely seen many film prints over the years, and I never remember it fading to white. I just wanted to see if there was consensus on this IMDB fact... so far it looks like it's unverified.
