Nice!
Didn't Frost imply we should have more teasers headed our way soon-ish?

I am not expecting a trailer, though maybe an announcement of when we'll get the trailer ?
I am happy to be in the dark about the plot, though I would LOVE to learn at the least who Dern and Forster will be playing. That would satiate my curiousity for the time being and would be a nice balance of feeding our imaginations whilst not revealing much.

Damn these time differences. I woke up all excited in Australia, came straight here and realised there are still hours to go!

Written and performed by Eddie Vedder for Twin Peaks, 2017 (Showtime)
That gum you like is going to come back in style, Twin Peaks will return on May 21 with a two-hour premiere on Showtime!
The Twin Peaks revival boasts an impressive cast of more than 200 people, including Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder who’s pulling double duty on the David Lynch project. Aside from making a guest appearance on the upcoming Showtime series, Ed Ved wrote a song for the revival titled ‘Out of Sand’.
Remember, the owls are not what they seem.
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.

Man, that sounds like the score to a very emotional/pivotal scene to me.

As the line "running out of sand" plays, with its obvious inference to time, I can't help think this song invokes Cooper's journey and ultimate fate.

(Also: Frost mentioning that mortality and the passing of time was a big concern while writing these episodes)

The song also makes a reference to the protagonist being a very different person to who they were in the past, and how they can never be that person again. The line, "a third eye looks back at me, full of blame and sympathy" is very interesting too. Can Cooper be entirely blamed for the, presumably, heinous things he's done since we last saw him? Is he blaming himself, as well as feeling self-pitying?Mordeen wrote:

Coupled with what we saw in the trailer; a reflective, troubled Cooper, and the very final, almost fatalistic narrative in the song, (if it's even about Cooper) continually makes me wonder if Cooper will even survive this season. If there are fates worse than death at hand.

My gut tells me he dies. Or ends up back in the Lodge like at the end of Season 2. Lynch loves him some circumference.Trudy Chelgren wrote:The song also makes a reference to the protagonist being a very different person to who they were in the past, and how they can never be that person again. I think the same. Although, Frost has talked about a "happier ending" to Twin Peaks, I can see Cooper's probable fate being dealt with in a more poignant way like Fire Walk with Me than the end of season 2.
Re: NON SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime Thread
Hmm... the song is good for what it is, but seems at odds with the world of Twin Peaks. I'm very curious how they will work it in!
