Great Northern and Falls conspicuously absent. Everything else is perfect. Chills.

In "Between Two Worlds" Sarah told us that she still lives in this house ... alone. Maybe it has changed, maybe not. I think this is very interesting.

hell if I was sarah there wouldn't be a damn light in the house that wasn't left on at night. I'm not wandering through that house in the dark

I noticed lately that in almost every US movie and series, when person enter his/her EMPTY house, there are always some lights on. Except the horrors - the lights are always off in horrors.

I wonder, are people in US just left lights on when they left their house?

Oh man, the Palmer house as seen in this promo (and, possibly, the scene there were spoilers for around Oct. 2015) has the potential to join Winkies, Dorothy's apartment, the Red Room, Fred's house, and others in the pantheon of creepy Lynch locations...

"THE" with 3 capitals? No way I'm gonna spill those beans, but do you recognise this one too? You can tell that I'm a floor-specialist, can't you?

So, Lynch said a couple of days ago that he's been working on a new table since he finished working on Twin Peaks. Today Showtime announced specific details about the scheduling of the series, including the day the finale airs. They also released pretty much the first teaser with footage from the series. It definitely sounds like post-production is 100% completed. I guess we might expect more promotion these remaining three weeks? Similar to today's teaser but maybe with a couple of shots featuring cast members. We'll see.
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.

Will there be a separate post that will contain all interviews from various talk shows (Kimmel, etc.)?

I love this footage. I agree that the RR shot looks off, but I really like that. I like how there's this strange mix of beautiful, darkly lit shots, and more plain, almost amateur looking footage. It's so blindingly different to me, It's hard to describe. I severely underestimated how gorgeous this show is going to look, on a superficial level.

That said, my gut is telling me that we've still not seen any real footage from the show. Feel it's all been behind-the-scenes footage shot for Showtime's teasers rather than anything that'll appear in the final product (even the foot walking in the puddle). That'd chime with the secrecy of the whole project and the lack of a conventional trailer.

I saw Mulholland Drive in the cinema last night and although Lynch's style will have obviously evolved in the intervening years, something just tells me the whole look and feel of the new season will be even better than these teasers. Here's hoping!
The POV shot will almost certainly be from the show, imo. It's too strange to be B-roll, and it has that telltale Lynch/Deming quality.

Now, I wonder whose POV it is??

The RR shot looks a little off, though - maybe that is behind the scenes. Or if it's not, it's not been colour graded at all (looks like a commercial!)
Several of those shots are from camera set-ups. New footage is nice in any form, regardless. And Lynch may even have chosen to use set up shots in the final cut because of the raw feeling. We'll know soon.

P.S. Those eyes, looking at 708. . .tee hee. Brain splitting.

Great comparison, however it does beg the question:

Why would the production go though all the trouble of painting the upper exterior in Blue Rose only to completely wash it out by desaturating it in the final shot? And what about all those cars and that crowded intersection? I say camera set up test on this one for sure.

Well- Yes, sometimes sure! Sometimes for pets, or sometimes you just don't want your house to LOOK empty, etc. Sometimes people have interior lights on timers as well.

Yeah, that's very bizarre. In set photos the blue in that part of the diner was so vibrant and now it's extremely desaturated.

Meanwhile, there is a rumor online that FWWM is getting a Criterion release...
