there is an argument to be made either way, all these clues and hunches add up to something real, or they don't.

everyone here is obviously really into david lynch/twin peaks, or they wouldnt be here. i dont think any passive viewer of twin peaks would come to a hardcore board like this, so i think everyone wants this all to add up to something, even the most skeptical and cynical among us. wishing and hopeful thinking for something doesnt make it happen tho.

It’s definitely debatable whether the project is Twin Peaks related. It’s also fair game to wonder about any hurdles which might come the production’s way, particularly in light of the various difficulties in making season 3, and the toll it took on Lynch as outlined in ‘Room to Dream’. I can’t see any reasonable way of denying that a film or TV show is in the works however, especially considering Lynch himself has basically admitted as much.

It’s just an expression. An archaic and oddly specific expression.

I understand the expression, of course. I am asking what I have written that is so wild or confusing. Heck, I think I'm plain speaking.

the twin peaks related argument has some merit - the production weekly listing with twin peaks productions, and new activity with corporate filings...

the lack of Frost and showtime seems to bolster the argument made against it being TP, but as Mr Reindeer points out, CBS only has distribution rights, the underlying IP is TP Productions, so he could feasibly go anywhere with these characters, and if this $85 mill budget from netflix thrown around is correct, licensing clips from the pilot or ep 18 from CBS is definitely affordable.

i've seen lots of Lynch monologues about how a continuing story starts out as one thing and becomes something else, and he does seem to have quite a bit of passion for TP, his relationship with Kyle seems to have been re-kindled, Laura Dern now has a place in the TP-verse. He mentioned Carrie Page calling to him in that one public appearance in 2018. so it's possible a spin off, sequel, related.

possible wisteria /unrecorded night is something else and TP productions is just attached because he wants to use Big Ed Hurley as a supporting player in a shared universe maybe...

You'd have to be insane not to. I mean it like it is, like it sounds.

I’ve noticed some of the posts in old threads have disappeared - are they gone permanently or will they be returning?

@ Brad D: You've heard someone was asked to participate in the new project though, right? Seems pretty concrete.
