Twin Peaks Meetup and Pilot screening in NYC!

Post by charles »

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let y'all know that I'm hosting a "meetup" for The Bookhouse, a NY Twin Peaks fan group. It's being held at my house in Brooklyn on Saturday, November 10th. Here's a link for the details: http://twinpeaks.meetup.com/33/calendar/6542562/ .
By fireside, we'll watch the newly remastered Pilot, eat doughnuts, drink coffee and talk about all things Twin Peaks. After the screening I'll present a slide show from my website http://www.intwinpeaks.com which compares original Washington State filming locations, then and now. I hope any of you who live in the area will join us for the festivities. If you decide to come, please join the group on meetup.com and RSVP there, or RSVP with me via http://www.blogger.com/profile/01282439863747655039. I hope to meet some of you then!

Annie! ...I know. I'm so bummed that so many of the awesome people on this board won't be able to come because of distance. F-ing distance!

Man, I'd love to take a trip down there for this! I'm totally petrified on the city though. I just know I'd get lost or something. :)

Why are all these screenings only in the US? I live in the UK so t's not very accessible for me.

Sorry for the delay... It was great! There were about seven or eight of us --which was really good because I'm not sure I had room in front of the TV for any more. We watched the pilot... IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Afterward, we gorged ourselves on doughnuts and coffee, talked, and after the sugar crash, called it a night. Basically, it was really cool to meet other fans in the area. I only wish that I could have met more of you from the board here. Ah, next time... Here are some photos I took of the proceedings. 'Charles

Glad to hear it went so well, Charles... I also eagerly anticipate your report on the California locations. :)

I like the way you set up the donuts Charles, and your mantel piece has a sense of familiarity to it. :D

Looks like you had a great time, Charles. And, I too, noticed the familiarity with which you set up your snacks--very clever! Don't stay away so long!
