I spent weeks (last spring) digging for info on the original release and screenings in Europe of the 133 minute Twin Peaks 'pilot' and only found a few tidbits with very little information.
So I'm wondering if any light has been shed, either in print or in the interviews, on the subject in the new Gold Box.
Does the Gold Box shed light on 'Euro Pilot' release?

Nothing that isn't already known - that the ending was made for Warner Bros as a contractual obligation - to be shown overseas or as a tv movie if the series wasn't picked up.
There's no information as to exactly when/where it was first screened or released. I know the unofficial guide book "Welcome to Twin Peaks" has a picture of the UK VHS cassette of the Euro-pilot.
