Aside from the Blu-ray set itself, I hope they release a collector's edition with goodies included. It would be so cool if they made a deal with Simon & Schuster to include a keepsake reprinting of The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, or included the audio files from Diane...The Twin Peaks Tapes of Agent Cooper, which is long out of print.

Guys, I would take anything and everything with a grain of salt and also not hold your collective breaths. An authority close to the FWWM deleted scenes personally confirmed with me (in September) that they ARE happening. As we are all aware with TP's treacherous history of home video - these things take time. Personally, it's tough for me to get excited until its actually on my screen. There's just been too much smoke blown.

Ray wise just told AICN that FWWM and the deleted scenes will be on the box set. He also said sooner rather than later:

What are the odds of getting a version of FWWM that has the deleted scenes inserted in? Non-existent, correct?

In any case, this is just fantastic news.

Most probably non-existent. The released version IS Lynch's director's cut. Pretty much all of the deleted material was cut almost immediately. I doubt he wants it seen within the movie. That's my guess anyway.

So you're saying the deleted scenes will be supplemental and watched individually?

Then I suggest some crafty/enterprising person upload or edit together a version with the deleted scenes inserted in...

I'd settle for the option to watch it with or without the scenes...kind of like Dark Star which had the extended and edited editions on the same disc.

I think the deleted scenes will be separate.

So, there are two things I can't wait for someone to do. The first is putting together an extended version of FWWM with the deleted scenes. The other is, assuming the post-series FWWM scenes are included, making a directors cut of episode 29. I think we deserve to see the ring in the series.

That's right. Lynch already said that the released version of FWWM is how the movie should be seen. I doubt he will change his mind.

That'd be the ideal option for me too Dustin, but most likely won't happen :(
