Jerry, I have it on my old broadcast tapes. I can probably burn it for you, and send it. Or one day find a way to upload it. I'm a computer dummy.
God, I love this music. Isn't it too dreamy?

Thanks Audrey! If it's not included on the upcoming (wink wink) Blu-Ray set, i'll give you a buzz.

I've only seen it on the "Twin Peaks Archive" DVD set that was (and is?) available as a torrent. Basically, it was one fan's pretty decent VHS to DVD transfer. I have it lying around somewhere, and I can probably rip the relevant portion and upload it here through Rapidshare or something. Only uncompressed, though, my computer can't handle any of the compression schemes like xvid/divx since it's extremely old and with little RAM. Uncompressed it's probably 100-150 MB, VOB/MPG format.

I love the whole disc. It was a good opportunity for me as both young to catch it the first time around and being European to see some of the American viewing context of 1990. Now that the bumpers are included in the gold box it's less essential, but still a great fan-created disc.

I wouldn't know how. But if I upload it here as VOB/MPG, maybe someone else could?

Anyway, I have to find the disc first, then I'll take it from there. I'm going away tomorrow and I'm staying for more than a week so it might take awhile. In fact, I'm not even sure I can rip it, it depends on how it's authored with chapters and titles, as my computer get these terrible hiccups if it has to rip a section from a chapter. In that case, maybe I can borrow another computer. We'll see.

As I don't have a Blu-Ray DVD player would have to be a really out of this world amazing Blu-Ray DVD set for me to purchase it and the player.

My wish list would be:
All the "Previously on Twin Peaks" segments (these should not be impossible to come by as they exist on the VHS releases that were released in the UK in 1991 - I own the video cassettes!)

All the "Next on Twin Peaks" segments (which I have never seen)

The summary shown on Norwegian TV at the start of season 2 detailing everything that happened in season one lasting about 10 minutes (have not seen this anywhere since)

Deleted scenes - as many as possible - I know there exists more of these scenes than what was included on the Gold Box DVD, have seen at least a couple of more scenes (all from 1st season though, on a bootleg DVD I once bought)

More interviews, more behind the scenes footage...
The next time you see me it won't be me...

I've always wanted more detail about the audio history of Twin Peaks. I know that the second season on the Japanese laserdiscs are Surround Sound. Now, the broadcast surround track could just be the stereo mix chopped up into 5 directions - I'm not sure. Dugpa? You know? To the best of my knowledge, S1 was stereo and S2 was...

I'd definitely like to see it packaged up with FWWM, deleted scenes or no.

Those are destroyed/lost. Would have loved to have seen those though.
I wish to retract my statement that those scenes have been destroyed/lost. The truth is, I have no idea if they exist or not.

Here's a description of what old school Dolby Surround Sound was:

3.0 Channel Surround (analog matrixed: Dolby Surround)

Extracts 3 audio channels from a specially encoded two-channel source:

* Two channels for speakers at the front"”left (L) and right (R).
* One channel for surround speaker or speakers at the rear"”surround (S).
* Describes the numerous matrixed (pre- Pro Logic) surround processors.

Placement: (three speakers in total) Three identical speakers placed equidistant around a central listening position. If two rear speakers are used they should also be placed above ear height, slightly behind the listening position, and should be of bi-polar construction.

But to truly tell if they actually mixed an isolated track for the third track or if they simply did a mono sub mix of the stereo stems, I would have to analyze the mix which I've never actually done as I don't think my Laserdisc Player outputs in Surround Sound.

Truth be told, I think the 2.0 mixes sound great. The 5.1 mixes sound great as well except for a few minor segments here and there. I'm guessing that playing the 2.0 mix and pushing it to use all 4 Speakers would emulate the old 90's "Dolby Surround" feel as I think it's doubtful that Lynch would have done an isolated mix to the surround back then. Maybe someone with a Dolby Surround setup and the old laserdisc could tell for sure.

What is the second season teaser that has been mentioned on this thread? I can't picture what it was.
