Lenoix

Post by inkswamp »

I don't know if it's ever been pointed out.

Le noix means "the nut" in French.

Coco Lenoix. Coco nut?

I'm not sure if it's some kind of joke on Lynch's part, but it's curious to me that Coco is seen munching on a bowl of nuts during the dinner scene. Seems to be a hint that it's intentional.

Don't know what it means, but it's interesting so I thought I'd point it out.

That's pretty funny, if you're right! It's probably Lanoie, Lanois, or Lanoix, though - a Canada 411 search for "Lenoix" as a surname yields 0 results.

Not sure if you still read this board a year later...!

Hello!

In french, it's not "le noix", but "la noix", it's in the feminine! In fact, it means "la noix de coco" = coconut

:)
