This is too little too late for me and Lost Highway. There was talk of a R1 Special Edition 2-Disc set, which this new version doesn't appear to be, as it's being advertised as one-disc on Amazon.

I bought the German DVD with the sound sync problems and then bought the 2-Disc UK Edition, which I can't see even a David Lynch approved transfer beating - especially as his 5.1 mixes can often be a little too subdued for my tastes.

i hate to be a "debbie downer" but - why not release it on HD-DVD... i mean we've waited this long - i'd rather wait for the best quality we can get.

If you hurry up you might be able to resell that HD-DVD player on eBay to some shmuck who hasn't heard they're obsolete. I feel sorry for anyone who got suckered into buying any HD-DVD hardware or software.
