It's always comical when everyone bashes the cover art.

Just give it me in a plain brown wrapper as long as there is some additional content!

The title card on the actual show was just Twin Peaks, and I never heard either Lynch or Frost refer to it as The Return. Assuming it was either a marketing hook or some contractual quirk.

The Return was a Showtime thing. Someone asked Frost what to call it and he said "Twin Peaks".

99% sure TP was shot in 2K.

...and the Soundtrack refers to the third season as "Limited Event Series". :D

To be noticed: Lynch himself was in charge of the desing of the sountrack artwork.

Sabrina Sutherland clarified this on @TwinPeaksUnwrap. Showtime tacked it on for marketing. David and the crew have always called it S3!

Really good. It was always season 3 for me and nothing else.

I can't imagine Lynch had a huge problem with the title if he let them use it all along. It matters that its not official but if people use it to make discussion more convenient nobody gets hurt.

BTW, there's an excellent chance "The Third Season" was chosen by CBS Home Entertainment for marketing purposes and is also not an official title a la The Return. So I wouldn't do any victory laps over that either.

It sure is gonna look funny on the shelf next to "The Complete Mystery."

I dunno but we've had about two pages discussion about it already.

I was initially sceptical of 'The Return', but especially since part 18 have grown fond of it for its Nietzschean Eternal Return ramifications. Still, whatever label is stuck on doesn't really bother me either way, the content is the same.

I think out of respect the first episode I'll watch on Blu-Ray is Part 8. Just has to be doesn't it?
