What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong

Post by MysteryMan »

Does anyone know if the version of "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong, used in episode 14 in the scene where Maddy tells Sarah and Leland she's leaving Twin Peaks, exist on a CD? The only version I have come by is the original version which is slightly different to the version used in that episode. The version used in that episode had a more jazzy feel to it.

No, I've wondered that myself. No luck yet, but I'd guess it's a live recording.

It's a bit sad, in some ways that the song has been used ironically so much - in TP, in Good Morning Vietnam, in Bowling for Columbine.

It's no live recording and I have no idea is it on any CD release.

But it's on analog LP "Attention!" from 1976 by AMIGA.

From my 32 years old analog longplay (removed most of the peaks and record hiss):

Thank you indeed!

Beautiful version. Can't believe no one ever released on CD.

I end up burning all my CDs to my computer anyway, so downloads are cool for me!

I always like to hold that physical CD in my hands. By the way, I did find out there's a link on amazon's page to buying the real CD as well :-) I have placed my order today. All the things I do for Twin Peaks... lol
