That's an interesting thought, but I don't think that MJA ever signed any contract let alone made it to the set. If he had, we'd all be clamoring for that footage. Imagine, The Return: The MJA Cut!
I do have a feeling of the black lodge being sort of underground. I don't mean that it's literally underground, but it
feels that way, especially with the oil pool reflecting the red curtains, and various shots, especially in FWWM, where we're looking down on the lodge.
