Thanks. No, I didn't see that. When did they stop selling it?

I'm sure there are a lot of bad copies circulating now. I'm not sure if I even want to try for a fourth set.

I got word back from Absurda. You can send contact them at sales@absurda.net to get replacement discs.

They wrote back with an address to send the discs. They did say they were surprised, as they have only had a few complaints of defective discs.

I feel so spoiled! I havent had any problems with my discs. Got it from Amazon, about a year or so, ago......it's standing proudly next to my TP Box Set!

I got my replacements from ABSURDA, and.....Blue Velvet is still defective.

Update:

I was able to burn the defective BV disc onto a DVD-R and put a nice photo from the French BV poster on the disc. The replacement DVD-R fits nicely in the pocket with the booklet of movie photos.

So, I can finally watch it. Could have done this sooner, but I was too pissed off to get around to it.

That was probably your best bet.
I've had to do that to a couple discs (not this set).
I was afraid the ticking/thumping sound was gonna kill my players.
