This was another nice surprise from the FWWM vault.
I wonder if we'll get the "slow-speed orchestral music" as its own isolated track at any point, or if the "Film version" mix of "Mysterioso" and the strings is all they've got. I love the creepy orchestral stuff. It's definitely the quintessential FWWM musical highlight in my opinion.

I've got to be honest: the original versions do nothing for me, but the film versions are fantastic! They do so much to build up a feeling of dread when Chet is walking through the trailer park.

I too far prefer the film versions of these and "Deer Meadow Shuffle" to their "original" versions. I love the tension that the slow-speed orchestra sound adds to the tracks. At this rate, pretty soon we should have just about all of the music from FWWM, no?bosguy1981 wrote:This was another nice surprise from the FWWM vault.

yeah, these tracks and Nightsea Wind were such a surprise!!
I assumed when I read the description of Nightsea Wind, it would include the chords from LP's Theme : as in when Leland is about to step into the grove...perhaps it is part of the track, or a different track yet to be released????
What other FWWM music has not been released (besides the tracks in the Montage)?

Yeah. I guess I'm a little disappointed in this one. I know others are excited to get these though- so I'm happy to see them released. The film versions are nice to have, but the original versions really don't do anything for me either. Bring on more tracks from the series!!!Guy Quenneville wrote:I've got to be honest: the original versions do nothing for me, but the film versions are fantastic! Well there's the "RR Swing." Also, the guitar licks that are played when James visits Laura in front of her home but who knows -- that may not even be a full piece of music, maybe just some bits that were added during post-production. I can't think of any others, actually.Cooped wrote: What other FWWM music has not been released (besides the tracks in the Montage)?
Unless you include the music that was playing during Laura's murder scene in the traincar. But I assume that was an existing piece of music and not something that will be released on DL.com, right?
However, I really hope the slow orchestra music that's contained in the film version mix of "Mysterioso" gets released as its own track.

I'm with Ross. I'm happy to buy everything to support the program, and delighted for fans of all these noodling tracks, but I'm hoping for more melody from the next release(s). These tracks won't make my final TP playlist when all is said and done.Ross wrote:Yeah. I guess I'm a little disappointed in this one. What I really want is the synth track we hear as Leland enters the Black Lodge near the end of the film. I'm hoping there is a longer version. Still, I'll take what I can get.Cooped wrote:What other FWWM music has not been released (besides the tracks in the Montage)?
