Ross,

Also High School Swing, Hook Rug Dance, and I'm Hurt Bad, and RR Swing would round out every song ever played in the RR. I guess the variations of Freshly Squeezed as well.

These are actually two different tracks. Here's a handy guide to the RR tunes:

RR Tune No 1 (played in the RR in episodes 3, 12, 15, 20 & 24, and at Wallies in episode 21)
Secret Country (RR Tune No 2) (played in the RR in episodes 4 & 5)
Picking On Country (RR Tune No 3) (played in the RR in episodes 6 & 19, and at the Roadhouse in episode 23)
RR Tune No 4 (played at One Eyed Jacks in episodes 6 & 12, at Wallies in episode 21, and in the RR in episode 26)
Western Ballad (RR Tune No 5) (played in the RR in episodes 11, 15 & 27)

I THINK this is all instances, but I could have missed some.
Arrgh - these double R tunes are making my head spin. I'll rewatch that lighter scene again, but I'm sure you're right. Thanks, Ross!

Ross, what scene in Episode 6 does Picking Up Country appear in?

Guy.

Its the Hank/lighter scene that you mentioned. That's the track called "Picking On Country". Same track as in episode 19 (Bryson & Ernie), and the Roadhouse scene in episode 23.

And "Western Ballad" is the track in episode 11 (Norman tells Hank MT Wentz is in town), episode 15 (the scene you mentioned where Norma scolds Hank), and episode 27 (Cooper & Annie)

All right, so I've finally had time to doublecheck the episode listings for the Double R Diner tracks. Here we go.

-- Double R Tune #1: This is the one that many have said sounds like Red River Valley, and which is very similar sounding to Western Ballad. While it appears in the episodes you mentioned it plays in (I've added the Episode 12 to my music guide), it makes its debut in Episode 2, when Ed visits Norma at the Double R and says he's in the doghouse.
-- Secret Country: Ditto what you said.
-- Picking on Country: Ah, you're right, it does play for the first time in Episode 6, when, in the Double R, Hank plays innocent with Shelly and tells her about his time in the joint, as a wary Norma looks on, and then Hank steals the lighter.
-- What you call RR Tune 4 I have referred to as One Eyed Jack's Parlour Music, a title I feel is appropriate given that the track makes its debut in Episode 6, when Ed and Cooper enter the casion and chat with Blackie. Plus, it saves people from having to number another RR track!
-- Western Ballad: ditto what you said.

Because all of the other Double R tracks (not including One Eyed Jacks Parlour Music) now have proper DL.com-supplied names, I'm going to take the "#1" in "Double R Tune #1" and simply call it "Double R Tune". It is, in my mind, the classic Double Tune, anyway.

Ahh- you're right, Guy. RR #1 appears in episode 2 and NOT 3 as I had. So the corrected guide would be:

RR Tune No 1 (played in the RR in episodes 2, 12, 15, 20 & 24, and at Wallies in episode 21)
Secret Country (RR Tune No 2) (played in the RR in episodes 4 & 5)
Picking On Country (RR Tune No 3) (played in the RR in episodes 6 & 19, and at the Roadhouse in episode 23)
OEJ/RR Tune No 4 (played at One Eyed Jacks in episodes 6 & 12, at Wallies in episode 21, and in the RR in episode 26)
Western Ballad (RR Tune No 5) (played in the RR in episodes 11, 15 & 27)

As Gordon Cole said to Cooper as they sat down at the Double R in Episode 25: "Good deal!"

Episodes 0-3 are checked and updated. There are some changes and more info in legend.
Percussion Solo/Laura Palmer's Theme (Piano) - checked and corrected.

I started making alphabetical list of all tracks/mixes, let's hope it all will not take much time as writing list ;-)

I'm sure there are three Hawaiian tunes. I mean that's Hawaiian Tune #3 sounds when Donna and James enter the Jacoby's apartment, not #2 half-speed version.

You're wrong ;-) It's Hawaii Tune No 2 in half-speed. I checked it three times.

They very very similar but I hear downward glissando on the last tone in Tune #3 while upward jump sound on Tune #2 same point.

Yep, But it's the same song, slowed-down, mixed with LP Theme, so it may sounds different (and God knows what they did in the sound studio - best example "Dark Wood Moods") ;-)

In anyway it's too short fragment (tune #3) to conclude. Who knows how the melody could be developed further (like Piano tune #3 / #4  )
