Is there a little something playing (faintly) when Laura and the Log Lady speak in front of The Road House? (Before Laura looks at her reflection, at which point you start to hear Questions in a World of Blue)

It seems like there's possibly some slow-speed orchestral music and then something layered on top of it. I can't tell if it's possibly synth stuff, or if it's just sound effects, like the scenes with the pale horse and the giant.

Yeah, it does sound like some very light, ethereal synth stuff in that beat.

Thanks for that Ross, I've amended my FWWM playlist and added the tracks from the series.

And I love your artwork for Attack of the Pine Weasel.

I just noticed you can hear portions of "Nightsea Wind" and "Log Lady Presence" in the mix as Leland dumps Laura's body into the water, and when he is about to step through the curtains.

Did anyone else notice that there's actually a scoring difference between the old UK DVD (and possibly others) and the new Blu-ray of FWWM? The scene at the sheriff's station plays mostly silent on the UK DVD, whereas "Mysterioso #2" (not #1) plays through the whole confrontation between Agent Desmond and the deputy. On the UK DVD it only picks up again when Desmond continues to the sheriff's office. Has it always been this way? I only recall the scene being silent on earlier versions.
By the way, the guitar chords during that scene don't come directly from "James Visits Laura" but from other unreleased parts of the same session. Judging by the archive notes it was a very long improvised track anyway, complete with starts and stops and studio talk. The complete recording remains unreleased.
Oh, and "Deer Meadow Suffle" in the subsequent scene is actually mixed with the beginning of "Slow Speed Orchestra 2 (Unease Motif/The Woods)" at very low volume.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread as my first post, but I happened to be building a complete FWWM soundtrack and came across this page. Thank you so much for all the work putting this playlist together! I have one possible addition to make. I believe we need to add "Log Lady Presence" in between "The Pine Float" and "Questions In A World Of Blue". It's quiet, but it is in there (obviously when the Log Lady talks with Laura). Anyway, thanks again!

Wow, amazing - so glad this thread is out there! Especially as most of these tracks exist on YT now...

Much as I love the music on the show, I feel the film's soundtrack is on a whole other level. I used to have the Last of the Mohicans score listed as my favorite of '92 (mostly on the power of that one theme) but FWWM is so multilayered and diverse and rich I'd probably have to pick it now if I was making those selections again (a tie at the least).

Wow, I just had to go through that entire list to find it's Moving Through Time I'm looking for. The song that plays when Laura's in her room for the last time..

So hauntingly beautiful

Probably not the first person to notice this, but I was just listening to the FWWM theme on YT and you can actually hear the words "black dog" at around 1:16/1:17. It's incredibly quiet, headphones are required.
