I did some more research on the documentary. It will be presented at the Tribeca Film Festival from April 18-29, 2012.
Keep your eye on the doughnut, not on the hole.
Re: Are you done with film? DL: I think I am.
I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the thread title... I thought it meant 'done with movies'... and being that I live in hope that we'll still see another Lynch feature film, that may have made me cry
But now I realise that he was talking about film v DV .... that looks like a really interesting piece! I might have to catch it sometime.

I don't know anything about this clip with Keanu, but I do remember, while producing segments for DL.com, and just maybe during one of the early shoots for what became Inland Empire (it was originally 2 different stories for web episodes), he was editing on his computer, experimenting with after effects and such, and said, "I think I have shot my last frame of film". He just loves the shortened workflow, where he can shoot cheaply on inexpensive cameras, load it immediately into his computer, edit it and experiment himself, without always trying to explain to others what he wants.
It seemed to be quite liberating for him, even though he had to learn some pretty steep stuff on the computer.
