Just a quick post in French as it will be easier for me and as it only concerns French people...
Le cinéma "le Bijou" à Noisy le Grand organise une soirée "David Lynch" le vendredi 29 juin.
A 19h : Blue Velvet
A 21h30 : Sailor & Lula
10€ les deux films (possibilité de payer un peu moins pour n'en voir qu'un) avec une collation entre les deux.
J'y serai.

Nice pdf and pictures. You can post this under Blue Velvet or WAH. Thanks, perno!

It was yesterday and it was a great evening.
10€ for 2 great movies and a nice lunch... A big big deal here.
Even if there wasn't enough time to talk between the two movies...
I really enjoyed Blue Velvet.
I was a little disappointed by WaH. Not my favourite DL movie (but not bad at all).

Glad it was great, perno! What city did this take place in?

Noisy le grand, near Paris.
A very small theater but a very interesting one.
I have to watch W@H again as I've seen this is one of your favorite one.

You should watch "Un film et son époque" vol. 2 after re-watch W@H. This documentary, made by Serge July, is very well done
There is also a documentary on "Mon oncle" of Tati on this DVD that I really love. (Lynch made some apperrences in it)
You can find it on amazon.fr

Thanks for the report, perno. I wondered if you were in Paris. I really think WAH is one of David's "less weird" movies. Depends if you like that type. I love all the references to "The Wizard of Oz."

@ kafard : thanx for the info. I'll try to check it out.
@ Annie : Oz is not very well known here in France I think. I mean... I know the overall story, I've seen once a animation movie about it and I know some characters... But not that much.
For the rest, I find W@H no less weird than Blue Velvet for example. But I find BV more dark. Coldest. W@H is more optimistic, full of joyce in a certain kind of way... And this, I think, is very different from the other DL movies. And a little disappointing to me as this kind of happy end is far more common...
