Yes and it was great but hard to compete with the deleted scenes
Was the reaction to the deleted scenes from the audience really positive?
Did you hear any reactions from the cast members as to finally seeing these scenes? I don't think any of them had ever seen them before. And I know Grace Zabriskie has talked about filming the "Leland as giant" scene as being really special to her. Must have been great for her to finally see it!!

The Leland giant scene is great but better IMHO is the scene of the Palmers all laughing while Leland tries to teach them Norwegian. They are so happy and laughing. It adds complexity to their family dynamic that some might argue was missing from the final cut of the film.
Isn't the Leland giant scene and the Palmers talking Norwegian all part of the same scene?
I never did see pics of Victor Rivers or Bob Engels at the screening. I think I saw everyone else.
Plus- I heard that Penny Marshall was there, and is a long-time TP fan! Which is pretty cool. (Her friend and "Laverne & Shirley" co-star David "Squiggy" Lander was on TP and On The Air.)

Maybe Jerry or dugpa took pictures of them. Would really like to see Victor

I didn't see Victor or take a picture of Bob. Did get Bob's autograph though.
Whoa!!! The only glimpse we had of this guy (Woodsman) in the final film was a very brief long shot.

For a minute I thought that was Jurgen Prochnow in a different outfit
Was about to ask if this was a reshot
In the final film, we briefly see 6 of the 8 (convenience store room) characters in closeup shots. This guy and the "Electrician" (the guy to the left of Mrs Tremond) we only saw in long shots. Well, we do see an extreme closeup of the electrician's mouth saying "Electricity".
The jumping mask guy and the electrician are actually not in the script, as the script mentions 6 people, not 8.

How weird is it that Prochnow is in the opening credits for his mere seconds of screen time?
A friend of mine said the same thing about Heather Graham. The theatrical version shows her for like, half a minute
Same for Norma though (and her only in long-shot!). At least they had lines and were characters that people knew. Prochnow is unrecognizable, onscreen for a second, and has no lines. For a while I was like, who is this? Who does he play?
