Agent Sam Stanley wrote:Also, more dialogue in the "Gobble gobble" scene. (couldn't care less about this one, as I find James really annoying and the whole "turkey in the corn" dialogue kind of stupid)
The thing I've always found annoying about that scene is that it starts mid-scene. "It does matter..." WHAT does? So, for that reason alone, I'd like to see the full scene. No biggie though!
Agent Sam Stanley wrote:Eileen Hayward stops by and says hello to the girls while they're lying in the living room, before they start talking about Mike, Bobby, angels etc.[/i] (I know, totally unnecessary)
I wonder if that little bit even got filmed?
Agent Sam Stanley wrote:After seeing BOB in her room, running off and talking to the concerned neighbour, Laura goes back inside to check if BOB is still there. He's not. Then she heads to Donna's house.
For some reason I was looking forward to seeing the scene with Laura and the neighbor. Partly because we've seen pics from the filming. But more so because it seems pretty Lynchian. Meaning we usually see the plot through the characters- Laura is scared so she cries & hides outside. But what about the outside world looking in and seeing her?
Agent Sam Stanley wrote:Bobby and Laura drive by Pete's truck on their way to the drug deal. Pete stops by Ed's Gas Station for a chat. Ed and Sparky talk while they work. (not sure if this was filmed)
Dugpa said these weren't filmed.
Agent Sam Stanley wrote:As for the poker chip scene and Leland raping Ronette, I don't think that was filmed. I think Lynch chose to shoot the events in the cabin and in the train car differently. If you read the train car scene in the script, it's very different from what he actually shot.
Could be- but Dugpa's write-up says "Additional dialogue confirmed to have been shot. Source: Walter Olkewicz."

MISSING ACTION:
Off to the side of the road lies Doc Hayward's wilted red rose.
[Ed. See Doc's failed magic trick in Scene 102.]

No big deal. Mere seconds. But would be cool to see since we get to see Doc's magic trick.

I have no doubt we'll something like that after we all see the footage. From the descriptions I've read, it does seem like there are at least a handful of minor things missing, plus some of the scenes that were really cut down for the movie aren't expanded (although some are). So that rumor of 40 more minutes could have some merit. But that's true of all movies- scenes are cut down, minor things are left out, etc.

Irene in the parking lot at Hap's.
There is a scene of Sam, Desmond and Irene in the parking lot.

I agree it's very Lynchian, also for the fact that Laura just experienced a horrible event in her private life and we see the contrast with the outside "normal" life with kind concerned neighbours. Still no biggie.

Hm, then I think that footage might be lost, as I doubt Lynch would leave extended scenes in the cabin out of the selected material.

Well, I think all the scenes mentioned so far pretty much cover the missing 40 minutes Jerry was told about.
If that's the case, I'm sure we're getting the best deleted material 8)

Maybe the scenes of Laura after she runs into the neighbor will be included? Look at the bolded portion. Maybe the scene starts with Laura going into her house and realizing Bob's presence has left with her father?
Scene #13: This is another priceless scene for fans of the series, which features Doc Hayward (Warren Frost) and Eileen Hayward (Mary Jo Deschaenel) who don’t appear in the final cut of the movie. In this scene, Laura has just discovered evidence that BOB is really her father, and runs crying to her best friend Donna Hayward’s house. In the final cut of the movie, the scene ends at the door of the Hayward home, but here we follow Laura and Donna inside and we get a nice scene of the Haywards in their all-American domestic bliss, a stark contrast to the Palmer family. The best part of this scene is the knowing look that Will Hayward gives his wife Eileen after Laura is called home by Leland…as if they know something is very “off” about that familial relationship, but can’t bring themselves to say it out loud. Yeah. And he comes in and apologizes for earlier with Nadine, and says they can get together later-setting up the scene with Ed and Norma in the back of the truck at night.
Sound like a really great scene - even better than the scripted version :)

One more question, in scene 8 where you said "Our first scene in the town of Twin Peaks itself, where we see a longer introduction to Bobby Briggs (Dana Ashbrook) and his best friend and fellow drug dealer Mike Nelson (Gary Hershberger)", is this an extended scene of the opening Twin Peaks scene where Laura and Donna walk to school passing by Bobby and Mike hanging out in Bobby's car?
Yup. It's them talking a bit before we get the "Mike IS the man" bit of dialogue in the finished film in Bobby's car.

Excellent! :D Can't believe how much we finally get to see...

In scene 20 does that also include Laura and Leland meeting up with Sarah outside the diner as a lot of the Teresa Banks flashbacks in the movie happen in between the conversation with Laura and Leland in the car...

Has anyone seen these disc breakdowns? Looks like no Ben killing Laura :( Second link has disc 8. They're all from the BBFC.

I could be wrong but it looks like the deleted scenes from the Gold Set were not carried over either?

Posted some pages back, only new material is listed as already rated material (i.e everything on the Gold set) doesn't have to be submitted again.

Guys, forget about Ben killing Maddy, it won't be there. We might have a chance with the picnic original footage, but I think it'll be footage from ep 1 not the actual pilot footage.
