Created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, Twin Peaks ran for two seasons from 1990 to 1991, with the characters returning in the movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.

The show will return for brand-new episodes on Showtime in 2016 and the BBC's Danny Leigh fronts the new audio documentary about the show.

Also featuring on the program are director and actor Richard Ayoade and crime writer Denise Mina.

Wrapped in Plastic author Andy Burns will discuss the legacy of the program and DJ Rob Da Bank will pay homage to the show's soundtrack.

In the half-hour show, senior lecturer in media and performance at Salford University Dr Kirsty Fairclough-Isaacs will also talk about how Twin Peaks transformed television.

Twin Peaks airs on BBC Radio 4 on Monday, April 6 at 4pm.

I'm not in the UK and I've just confirmed I can play several past Radio 4 programmes via the BBC website - iPlayer Radio evidently isn't geoblocked, unlike iPlayer TV.

So we can expect to find it here on April 6: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05pktlc

Hearing Richard Ayoade talk about Peaks should be good.

I find out about this in the same week that I hear the Electric Cinema in Birmingham is showing FWWM on 22nd April. It's a 20 minute drive from me. We're getting a little road trip together to go watch the movie in an awesome cinema with sofas and waiter service. :D

Hearing Richard Ayoade talk about TP will indeed be something pretty special. Darkplace was soaked with Peaks inspired moments, especially the soundtrack.

I listened to it last night - pretty unmemorable to be honest. The link Chareth provided should still work for the next month.

I listened to the live broadcast and although it was a nice enough documentary there was nothing new in it that I haven't heard or seen elsewhere. Definitely not essential listening.
The next time you see me it won't be me...
