Actually "Profaned This Oil" is an anagram of "Laird of the Ponsi" but maybe I should leave well enough alone.

Wow, you guys are amazing. That could be right!

At least now we know that it should be spelled and pronounced "Pons"

Denver Bob
[I suppose it's also possible that Wayne Charlie Chance could be the name of the journal writer who mentions Denver Bob.]
Just thought something was amusing: Frost says in this interview (around the 10 minute mark) that he doesn't think the effects Twin Peaks had on TV at the time will be very long lasting. Fast forward 24 years...

Details are all but finalized for Mark Frost's signing at The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles. It will be from 7-8:30pm. You MUST purchase a book there to participate in the signing. You'll get a numbered wristband to secure your place in line and an autograph on your novel. They're trying to negotiate allowing additional items to be autographed (bonus!) but don't hold your breath. A group gathering is already coming together, so if you want to join but don't know who I am IRL send me a PM and I'll point you to the Facebook pages where we're planning the fun. I'm planning on being there very early, and management is ok with with it. Hope to see you there for this impossibly great opportunity.

I'm confused. Didn't we learn months ago that Mark Frost would be narrating the audiobook version? I assumed the other actors would only be coming in for their own roles while Frost handled the lion's share of the narration.
His tweet now seems to imply (albeit not state) that he will only appear as Cyril Pons. What gives? Maybe he WILL narrate the thing, and it will be revealed in the closing moments that the compiler was good ol' Ponsy?

I only remember widespread wishful thinking after his delightful reading of that Log Lady snippet. I still wonder what kinds of documents qualify for being read by the relevant actor and which ones will be read by the general narrator despite referring to specific characters...
...and of course if the author of the dossier turned out to be... the author of the book... it'd be such a bold-faced move that I'd have to applaud it. Canon as a whole is already ridiculously high on author wish-fulfilment anyway, might as well.

Frost seemed to indicate that Scotland might be on his book tour.
