Re: SPOILERS: Twin Peaks: Season 3 on Showtime SPOILERS Thread
I think it's safe to say there's something wrong with Cooper here. You could sense a different aura even in the previous trailer when Kyle sits next to Lynch, like he's in a character that is not the same Cooper we know. Could be 25 years of burden or he's a doppelgänger. I'm even getting this awful sense that if he's been possessed for 25 years, what that would do exactly for a human psyche? Can we even imagine? I think this is somewhat a territory that Lynch will explore and it might feel like a punch to the gut when he does.

Nope, definitely not the shot from FWWM.
In that case, safe to say it's all fresh.
Although to be fair, some of it may be B-roll footage and the first shot looks to me like the one from the earlier teasers, but none of them are from FWWM to the best of my knowledge. And really, if I don't know every single shot of FWWM, which I saw at least a hundred times, then what the hell do I know in life??

It's definitely fresh new footage. The question is whether it's footage from the actual show or it's just stuff they shot for the promotional material.
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.

I appreciated that it was ambiguous—we've seen Cooper make that serious face in the original series (the scene in S2's finale when he's walking into the Lodge comes to mind). But the intensity of his stare also reminds me of possessed Leland.

What is the pin that Coop is wearing?

Are the blurry trees near the beginning the Sycamores?

Could be. Maybe the road takes to Glastonbury Grove and Cooper notices there's someone and "it's time".
Maybe not. Just thinking out loud.

I was thinking IE! The shot of the road reminded me of the infamous "clownface Laura Dern" sequence.

Thanks, I thought so. Although the lighting makes it look a little different.

Right there with ya. That one seems least likely, but would be explosively impactful to the fans. If she's sitting in a leather chair in a black dress I'll shit my breeches.

Yeah. Did you miss the previous teaser? It's the same. The videos also happen to be of the exact same length.
