heres my question: if todays season one marathon began at 11am but because i live on the west coast it actually began at 8am, does that mean that the new season will premiere at 6pm instead of 9pm on the west coast??

Did anyone watch the marathon? Or maybe more interestingly, know any TP novices who watched it?

I imagine almost everyone here, like I, has the whole series in some form and can watch it anytime - but it still kind of boggled my mind when I would stop while going about my day and think that it was happening right then.

It depends upon your cable provider. For example, DirecTV uses all east coast feeds for extended cable and subscription channels, so in that case, lucky sods like me will see the premier at 6pm.

my provider is at&t uverse and it looks like they have one channel that airs on east coast time and another that airs on west coast time. the marathon just ended on one channel and has a couple hours left on the other. seems like i might be one of those lucky sods! ill have to go change my countdown timer..

I was going to ask this as well. I have Dish and they have SHO-E. Hopefully they don't disable it or anything.

SHO-e is the primary feed for premiers and current run shows. They can't shunt that feed if you pay for the whole Showtime package. It pays to subscribe!

It's cool but I'd rather watch it at nine when it's dark. Still it will help if I'm going to watch four hours that first night.

Looks like they changed their plans... I believe it was originally slated for the 20th.
