Did anyone else notice the faint horse sounds at the end of the episode as charcoal man walks away? I think I only noticed because white horses have always figured strongly in the Lodge mythology.

And yes, the man who introduced NIN looked so much like Jimmy Scott that I actually gasped.
There were definitely horse noises; was watching with CC and it had the horse noises captioned.

Same here; I was so pleased with that. I stubbornly cling to that theory that Laura and Ronnette are in the audience, even though I, uhh, know they're not.

It was fitting that an entire NIN song would play after that scene with DoppelCoop and the Lodge crazies.
yeah I was wondering what the context would be for nin's performance and that was perfect

And also the theater that Laura Dern walks into near the end of Inland Empire.

Any chance we could refrain from going on for 50 pages about who's disappointed or not, and how much? It's getting old with so many interesting things we could discuss.

I too thought "white lodge?" when we saw the building on the island but... I dunno. Not what I pictured based on Garland's dream.

I think it's somewhere else. But where??

Twin Peaks is trending on Twitter and I'm not sure it achieved that during the premiere.

Correction: Worldwide.

Wow BOB wow. Part 8 is perfection. As good as it gets. So great. The kind of great that makes any other issues I have with the show negligible or even outright irrelevant. Lynch's Voyage of Time/2001 complete with return to Castle Caladan and Third Stage Guild Navigators firing into space. Exquisite and exhilarating.

The only time it trended was during the premiere. Other episodes did not trend.

Things like this aren't supposed to "trend". It isn't for * them *.

As long as we can refrain 50 pages of people calling this the true definition of Twin Peaks and how anyone disagreeing with them is a moron or shouldn't watch the show because it's not for them.
The milk will get cool on you pretty soon.
