I hope not! I want to see a battle of wits between a man and his shadow!
IIRC, I think we saw that in episode 29. Coop agreed to give Doppyganger his soul in exchange for Annie's life, but Bob trumped him. Did I remember that correctly?
No you're misremembering. Cooper agreed to give Windom Earle his soul in return for Annie's life, but then Bob intervened and took Earle's soul instead.

Yeah, that's it. Thanks. It's been like three weeks since I re-re-re-watched episode 29. Guess it's time again. That said, Bob and Dopplecoop sure seemed like best buddies in the black lodge in ep 29. We've seen evidence that Bob brought Windom's soul along for the ride in season three. So we may have Coop's real body, Coop's mind (not soul), Windom's soul and demon Bob as the guide/consultant/coach/?. No wonder Mr. C is such a walking "storm."

i just re-watched the two trailers featuring footage of Cooper not yet seen.. both when driving the car and standing outside that certain house it is undoubtedly Cooper and not BadCoop or Dougie. BadCoop has pitch-black eyes, you can clearly see the blue/grey color iris here. DougieCoop wouldn't be able to operate a car in his current site.

it's not like Cooper's evolution has been totally halted when he arrived in Dougie's home, Coop in episode 9 and 10 is more aware than Cooper in episode 3 and 4. it's subtle and it's slow but he is making some progress

Given his speedy recovery, I guess real Cooper should be back with us in the vicinity of episodes 34-37, right? By episode 51, he should be making penguin jokes again. :)

I don't know about that. Watching Part 4 again, he seemed most lucid in interacting with the casino manager. Ever since then, besides his little "moments" , I see no discernible change.

I hope it is soon. But they have almost painted themselves into a corner by making him so idiotic for so long. It would seem odd for him to snap out of it at this point and get back to normal. I do hope they kill this awful Dougie story line soon. I love the show but Dougie has been a real downer. I will miss Naomi Watts who has been great. I presume if Cooper snaps out of it he will be hitting the road and leaving her behind.

Somewhere around Part 12-13 sounds about right.
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.

It would be so weird to see him 'snap' out of it and instantly turn from drooling Dougie to his sharp thinking, fast talking and quickly acting self.

I'm hoping for some lodge craziness then Cooper returns. 12-13 sounds about right for that, since I suspect most of the next part will put everyone at the coordinate location, then the one after that is where it all goes mental.

In which case, next week will be a hellishly long wait!

If he does 'snap' back it's gotta be a huge impactful thing, like Janey-E and Sonny Jim dying. It Harkens back to a big fear of Cooper's after what happened to Caroline then Annie.

What a good idea! I hope we get something in this regard.

Originally, I thought it would be when Ike the Spike attacked, but I said at the time that if it DIDN'T happen then, all bets were off.

Part of me thinks we're bound to have several hours of Dale in Twin Peaks before the end, but I'm enjoying watching this so much, I'm trying to just let go of expectations and see where things go!

Never. I think both Mr C. and Dougie are going to end up dead.

We might see Cooper in the lodge after.
