Re: TP Soundtracks reissued on vinyl??
Please let me know the details about MD on vinyl. I mixed the thing, and have a number of pieces of music in it, and never heard of this release. As an aside, there will be a Euro release thing Spring, on vinyl, of some songs from TP, featuring Nightsage and an Italian band. Stay tuned for further d...

Re: Has there been an email campaign to Criterion about FWWM?
Well, I don't know the legal issues, but I do know the technical issues. Some years ago, when we were getting ready to do the 5.1 mix for the New Line DVD, David got all the workprint (35mm positive) and identified either 17 or 19 scenes for inclusion as deleted scenes. I saw most of them on the KEM...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
Well, let's see, zoothorn21... There was a little project called 'BlueBOB' There was the temp music for 'The Straight Story', with one cut, the scene with Alvin and Verlyn at the bar reminiscing about WWII remaining in the movie There was the score from 'The Straight Story' There was a movie called ...

Re: David Lynch Lime Green Box Set Discussion
The 'remix' style Track on the Soundtrack CD is a dance-beat sort of thing I made from sounds that are all in the film.
I did the beats and Dave picked the sounds and told me the order to build them in. It was a lot of fun making the track.

Yes, I said 'Goth Club'!
Check out Nightsage.com and myspace.com/nightsageproductions and you'll see why.
There are also YouTubes of Nightsage from the Twin Peaks Festival and some other shows.

If Nightsage were in the area, we would love to play a compilation of Lynch Film Music, BlueBOB (with one half of the band!) and Neff material.
Have a great fest!

Re: Woodcutters From Fiery Ships
We had built a large Goth Club and Lynch museum in Second Life, along with a Jack Nance memorial gallery, and a club/lounge with a private area for David to visit, stocked with Lynch-Bages wine, American Spirit cigarettes and Fois Gras pate. We DJ'd into it a couple of times and had a good audience,...

Re: New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set
Thanks for the comments, whatif. No disrespect taken. I know it's a legitimate critique and appreciate it. In answer to your last remark, if you mean what did David think of the 5.1 New Line Soundtrack? He was there when it was made, and he approved it. Now, you bring something up that is very inter...

Re: New David Lynch DVD Box - the Lime Green Set - Merged
Merged topic threads start here... EvenReven, by 'off' as to the TP FWWM soundtrack, what do you mean? And, by the 'Partyland' scene ruined, do you mean that because the dialog got its own center channel? This is an old argument, but the levels of everything in the New Line DVD were consistent with...

Hey, Dugpa! Here today, Gone to Maui! That was my home for fourteen years. Yes, Mama's is the best fish house in Maui, just off the Hana Hiway, a mile or so Hana-side of Paia. Also, check out Hali'imaile General Store in Hali'imaile, Longhi's in Lahaina, and of course, Cheeseburger in Paradise in La...

Re: Blue Bob...?
I kept thinking 2002, because of the European release and the show at Olympia, but you're right - it was released as a website-only album in 2001. Nightsage currently performs some BlueBOB in the show. We will be playing the Twin Peaks Festival this year (in a few weeks, actually!), and are playing ...

James, what Axxon N. was going to be got worked into Inland Empire as one of the threads, so it is already made. David works every single day and his output is amazing - it's just not what his film fans always want or are waiting for. He dabbles in many things and excels at them all as far as I have...

I haven't seen the 'new' Universal DVD yet, but if it has a lower bit rate it could be due to the date of the transfer. Unless Universal re-transferred the film for this release, the scan was done in the Spring of 1998 or 1999, for USA Films, who had the DVD rights. The technology in film scanning h...
