Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

I also think The Shield had an excellent series finale which had the right combination of closure and openendedness. Yep, The Shield is definitely a contender for the best series finale of all times! What a way to go out. Come to think of it, that whole last season dissecting Mackey's downfall was ...

Re: is there any other show that even comes close to your obsession with TP?

Speaking of endings, what did you guys think of the Breaking Bad one? To me, they went over the top (SPOILERS!!!) with that automatic machine gun in Walt's trunk mowing down a whole nest of nazis and then Julia calling him just in time for him to give her a "death sentence" by telling her ...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I think people have frankly always been too dogmatic about that scene and episode. I think it's very possible Lynch feels you can have both perspectives on the situation being equally valid - Leland's pain and grief and suffering as part of the well-known cycle of abuse as detailed in episode 16, a...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I love the way the clues come together in episode 16. Do they all make fully logical sense, no. Does it tie things up into a beautiful bow from the first season, yes. Is it the last word on what the dream means overall? Of course not, this is David Lynch. You can have surrealism and the unknowable ...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Yeah, it's just a coffee add. I guess whoever made it for whatever reason didn't even have a clue that TP is coming back. He just grabbed MacLachlan who happened to be strolling by and said, "Hey, slurp some coffee for me on camera and be as jolly about it as possible".

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

You guys overthink this stuff. There was like 10 pages wondering if the "episode 0" thing was some super secret thing when it was clearly just a placeholder in the web code so they'd have a spot for parts 1&2 being aired together, and not just seperately. Kyle Maclachlan doing a coffe...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIf3AhczxFI This one? Yep, the very one! There hasn't been a more telling hint at what we can expect from Coop in the next season than this, as far as I'm concerned... It's weird how interpretations of the same thing can be different. I find it neither creepy nor do ...

Just adding - I'm loving the ominous music playing in the background and would love it if it turns out to be a part of the new season's score.

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Yeah, I agree with that, it's not a neutral face. This is a haunted Cooper, not the effervescent Cooper of his youth. I had the same feeling looking at Sheryl in EW and in Between Two Worlds - she looks haunted as well... Don't forget about MacLachlan's manners while sipping coffee in a promo video...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Well, yeah, I mean, remember where we left Cooper off... Yes. And that'S why I don't believe it is just his "neutral" face as someone implied above. There's something quite off about that expression of his in all the recent pics. Yeah, I agree with that, it's not a neutral face. This is a...

Re: Robert Engels or Harley Peyton

And one of the few thing he's ever worked on beside random tv episodes for random series is main co-writer/creator of this thing: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0185936/?ref_=nm_flmg_wr_4 Oh, my God - Engels actually had a hand in this obscurity, you say? Well, IMDb certainly says so. I had no idea! I...
