Hmmm... Sounds more like something out of EC comics.

And Windom showing up with white face, red eyes and steel teeth wasn't? Or shooting a guy trapped in a giant chess piece dead with a crossbow wasn't? ;)

..and Windom Earle himself wasn't?

Erm... no, he wasn't.

Re: Eric DaRe (Leo Johnson)

I completely understand why Leo will not appear in the new series but I really hope they'll address his fate at some point. Discovering Windom's lair where there's a dusty, mummified corpse with spiders coming out of the mouth and eye sockets would be suitably ghoulish. Hmmm... Sounds more like som...

Re: Recommendations for Watching While Waiting for Season 3

As some have mentioned already, RIGET is great. Being danish and aware of Lars Von Trier from an early age, i watched it with my father and brother for the first time when i was quite small and it scared the shit out of me. Still does. I won't spoil anything, but the dialogues between the two dish-...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Considering all of Earle was sans Lynch (and Frost from the sounds of it, until nearer the end) I think we have little to worry about. Having said that, i think bad coop could still have some slapstick moments. When Frost was asked what was the funniest moment for him in the show he picked out Andy...

Re: The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (Audiobook)

Agreed, The Secret History and My Life, My Tapes , are very pedestrian in comparison, although I did enjoy the latter. I thought My Life, My Tapes was pretty intriguing and interesting. The Secret History, though... meh, I can take it or leave it. The main thing MLMT has going for it is that Scott ...

Re: Warren Frost dies at 91. RIP.

And so the parade of dead TP cast members continues to add marchers to its ranks as the new season approaches...

In any case, R.I.P., Mr. Frost. I'll continue to cherish his presence in TP, Stephen King's The Stand and Psycho IV: The Beginning.

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I'd be surprised if that's the question she hears the most regarding the fate of her character. If that's the case, let's hope the answer is "no". That Gordon/Shelly plot was one of the worst things about S2 to me. I'd rather see an entire episode dedicated to Evelyn drected by Diane Keat...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I see Lynch's "memoir" is due out Sept. 5, which should be around the time the series is wrapping up. Wonder if he'll write about it extensively in the book. (Well, "extensively" being a relative term when it comes to Lynch...) LOL! I'd give it 1-1.5 pages and even that might be...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

Do we really? I know nothing of the sort. It's true that there've been reports in the years since the series went off the air about the intended pairing of Audrey and Cooper, but had they proceeded with that, who knows where they'd end up. The thing is, from what I gather about the whole Twin Peaks...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I also didn't like the way Cooper acted around Annie as it seemed out of character and made him boring. Messing around with a high-schooler, on the other hand, would be my definition of "out-of-character" when it comes to one Dale B. Cooper. Cooper did not mess around. He was tempted but ...

Re: NO SPOILERS: Twin Peaks Season 3 on Showtime May 21st 2017

I disagree. Their interactions always stood out to me as being different to the other romance subplots. They felt more real, in part because they didn't fall into a romance and immediately sleep with each other. When they completely stopped interacting with each other I think the show lost somethin...
