Poll: Favorite track
If you had to pick one favorite track from Twin Peaks, Fire Walk With Me included, what would it be?
I'll see you in the trees
Re: Poll: Favorite track
It's almost impossible for me to pick a favorite. I chose the FWWM theme, but I'd put Audrey's Prayer & New Shoes right there with it. (New Shoes isn't in your list tho).

Yeah, the soundtrack is way too good for it to be an easy choice. I forgot about New Shoes but I was at the maximum amount of options anyway.

Moving Through Time has always been special to me. It has an otherworldly feel to it that's indescribable -- both hauntingly gorgeous and a little eerie and downright mystical.
On the whole I find the FWWM soundtrack stays with me more than the S1 series soundtrack does, but I still adore both. I just think FWWM feels more cohesive as a listening experience, whereas the Cruise songs on S1 break up the flow a little (as wonderful as they are!) Also, as much as I love Freshly Squeezed or Audrey's Dance, for example, perhaps they work better put to images on the show than heard alone?
Tracks like Dark Mood Woods, Packard's Vibration/Theme, and Shelly are up there too though so it'd be great if Lynch and Badalamenti signed off on a S2 OST vinyl edition someday...

Laura Palmer's Theme is probably my favorite track of any soundtrack in TV or movie ever. Pure brilliance.
This is - excuse me - a damn fine cup of coffee.

"Dark Mood Woods" from the first moment I heard it in episode 29. Especially the unreleased mix that was used there.

Re: Poll: Favorite track
There's probably 10 or so tracks I could call my favorite based on what day it is. Today I'll say 'Audrey's Prayer'.

Sycamore Trees. Both as a standalone song and as how it's used in episode 29.

I guess Bookhouse Boys (and Freshly Squeezed) and Dance of the Dream Man are all separate entities ...
>> Bookhouse Boys and Audrey's Dance for driving around in the late afternoon with orange sunshine all around and deserted streets (nothing at all seductive about any of those songs, just pure darkness to me)
>> Sycamore Trees was the best of the dark side, but not for driving around in real life.
>> Fire Walk With Me - for the darkness, not driving. I feel the song had nothing to do with the Twin Peaks characters. It was more like a confession of Badalamenti's own darkness, in sympathy with the franchise.
>> "Into The Night" (current fave, not listed here so l voted "Other") for the dark mood but not for driving around (great for the train rides l took when staying continuously awake for 2 days and 3 nights in the 1990s, working 3 non-contiguous shifts at a bakery, occasionally listening to "Into The Night". Was totally overcome by the effort and the actual song, really became intimate with that song.)

I'm all about The Pink Room. I love the harshness of the sound.
