Hello.

First post here, although I'm not sure how much interest it'll be to anyone!

The BBC have just put their 'Genome' website online, which allows people to search for TV and radio listings from 1923 till 2009. I've had a look for the original UK Twin Peaks broadcast dates, which I've copied below. These are just the scheduled dates, so there may have been changes in the event of major news stories breaking, transmission faults etc. However, they should be reasonably accurate. Interesting that the show doesn't seem to have really suffered from being moved around the time slots like it was in the US. The shows were broadcast on BBC 2.

Thanks. Interesting that when it began it was over six months behind the U.S. air date, and when it concluded it was only about two weeks behind. That says a lot about how many breaks there were in the U.S. broadcast.

In Norway, it started in November 1990 and we caught up with US around episode 27. So we had a two-months hiatus too, for no reason at all. Didn't seem like the Norwegian TV channel would have cancelled it. They just had to wait for the US broadcast of the last two episodes before broadcasting them themselves.

Ah, the frustrating three week April/May break where the Twin Peaks made way for that bane of 9pm drama viewers' lives: snooker!

How many times down the years did I find myself yelling over the end credits of a favourite TV show because of snooker?!

So that means that I first saw the pilot episode on its Saturday repeat on 27 October 1990 - thanks for making me feel so bloody old! I can even remember the house I was sharing at the time (moved six times since then), and at least half a dozen of us watched it. One idiot laughed when Sarah screamed. It was during that Snooker break that everyone still watching, probably three of us, gave up on it as a lost cause - and I didn't see the remaining episodes until several years later.

Windom Earle had just left Cooper the mask on his bed when the announcement about preempting the show for three weeks. I was furious!!!

In Poland it started in spring 1991, then after a rather short break Season 2 came back in late June... and then I remember that Ep. 16 was August 16 and that Ep. 29 was November 29

Since we are adding airdates, Twin Peaks aired uninterrupted in South Africa from June 1991 - January 1992.

This could also be called "List of times hopesfall was cowered under his bed, shaking".

In Portugal, it was broadcasted during 1991, also uninterrupted. I was 9 years old at the time and I started by watching the last episode. Nice introduction, huh?
Anyway, Im probably the only person who watched it in a very bizarre order:

Last episode = 1991
Pilot = 1996
Episode 22 = 2002 (yes, the one directed by Uli Eder, considered one of the worst)
All other episodes = 2002-2003

I downloaded all episodes from kazaa/emule before I bought the DVD and I watched them unsortedly. I was so eager to watch it, that I didnt care. Anyway, I already knew who killed Laura Palmer.

As for the FWWM, I also saw the Laura Palmer story first, and only some weeks later, the Deer Meadow Sequence, which remains one of my favourite moments.

But, despite the lack of cohesion, i loved every second of it...

Reactivating this old thread. So did Twin Peaks air on BBC in the UK? I would have thought Channel 4 for some reason? Any information on when/where it aired in countries like Finland, Ireland (if it aired on their reigional channels and wasn't just on UK channels in that country) and other European countries?

BBC2 (which meant no adverts!) at, if I remember correctly, 9pm.
