The problem with this track is: "Dark Synth" part is one music layer of this track in the series. Original "Dark Synth" was on bootleg WITHOUT "vibrato" layer. I think that this track is just a mix of "vibrato" and "dark synth" cues. The mixed different cues and sounds a lot, and sometimes it's hard to say what we can call a "track" it it's real meaning.
The episode 3 version has long "dark synth" cue almost in the whole track.
The episode 22 (track 14.) version has long "vibrato" solo only parts and "dark synth" is small part only and repeated few times.
In the episode 22 (track 22.) version only "vibrato" part was used.
I updated S1 and S2 list with adding 'v1' and 'v2' to the tracks. I decided NOT to treat them as a mix, because it appeared only in this form (no 'dark synth" solo version was used).

Thanks for the info Q! That's basically what I was thinking. I certainly prefer it with the "vibrato" mixed in. Hopefully they release it that way.qbin2001 wrote:Yes... and no.

Both versions is always better!qbin2001 wrote:I hope that version without vibrato will be in the bundle also
I think they did something similar in FWWM when LP's Theme is played in the James & Laura scene near the end of the film. I know people have said the version sounds "darker". I think its the normal version- but they added an addition dark synth on top of part of it.

These three cases of "Owl Cave" are actually half-speed. Which is why they sound different. I don't think there is a "Baiting Blackie" sound.qbin2001 wrote:Episode 08
